i wanted to have surveillance cameras in my backyard and area between my house and my neighbor's house. I did not wanted to run wires behind walls and drill holes in my walls. This is very easy setup and completely wireless. Battery need recharge ~4 months.

Alro pro cameras are a 3rd generation thing in our family. We just love these camera. You can talk through the camera to someone who is at the house when you are away and it gives a clear picture of the area!!! Love it!!!!

The Arlo cameras are very easy to setup and install. The battery life is dependent on the settings. To clarify if you leave it armed 24/7 you might get 1-2 months of charge before having to recharge. I would suggest setting up a schedule to maximize battery life. Alerts are about 2-5 seconds delayed from camera being triggered. There also is a timeout on viewing the camera Iive. I think that is due to conservation of battery life.night vision is adequate, I would suggest mounting where a light is available as color recording allows for more detail. I'm looking foward to the next update that will allow to fine tune what triggers the camera(vehicles,pets,people).

If you're mind is set on having a wireless security system this is the way to go. The price is it's only real hindrance, but it's worth it due to flexibility, performance, picture clarity, and 7 day cloud storage (at no extra cost) and ability to add external storage via USB. Range from camera to receiver is excellent, set up is a breeze, and night vision clarity is impressive.

This is a great system as long as you have wifi. I can see what's happening outside (and inside if I need it) my elderly parent's home anytime from over 200 miles away. The video quality has now been improved by the Arlo2 Pro cameras, so only buy minimum Arlo Pro cameras and buy the new Arlo2 Pro ones where better quality video helps. I'm told they work with the Arlo Pro system.

These cameras are great! Easy to set up, long battery life and very durable. I've had them on for 6 weeks and haven't needed to recharge yet. Picture quality is one of the best I've seen. Can zoom in from 20 yards and still see ok. Highly recommended.

This system was purchased after a break in attempt for my peace of mind. They system setup was simple and the app is user friendly. I was concerned about the mounting with it being only magnetic, but so far I haven’t had any issues. The motion and audio sensors are adjustable which I had to tweek a little so I wasn’t being notified of sun shadows (motion) and flying insects (audio). There is a delay, maybe 3 seconds for alerts. The only thing is, I wish there were a way to change the alerts on your phone. It is not a very ‘alarming’ alert which can wake you up from a dead sleep. Other than that, I am enjoying the peace of mind this system has given me.

Definitely recommends the arlo pro. Easy to install. Wireless. Very user friendly apps. Can arm and disarm with touch of bottom from phone apps. If you are using for outside, I would recommend the stronger hold not just the magnet one that come with it.

We really like these cameras. They offer a really clear picture and have decent night vision. I like that there is no subscription fees to access our video. The only downfall in my opinion is that they only record when there is motion. However, it does seem pretty accurate to recognize when there is motion. And it will alert my phone when there is motion which is nice, too, as it is just our back yard. However that might not be so handy in a spot with a lot of traffic. Also, we had some really cold temps and they worked all the way up until the listed temp. Then they simply shut down until it warmed up and are fine again. We have had them for about a month now with no risk of having to recharge the batteries, either, which is great as we were concerned that would be an inconvenience.

I love these cameras, and how they integrate with my Smartthings hub. The two way talking system works wonderful when using an iphone or computer, but is terrible when using an android phone. Almost no sound can be heard from the camera's speaker when talking through an android phone.

These are good cameras. Battery last a long time and very easy setup. Like the ability to have 7 days free storage as well. If the cameras were cheaper would make it a five star rating

These cameras are perfect. The app can get tricky at times but they continue to push updates to help with that. The video quality is great and the audio is captured from surprisingly far. The option to use zero wires what so ever is also really helpful
