    I have been tremendously disappointed with Arlo products. I have both Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 4 cameras and they are only marginally useful. We can pull our car out of the garage directly below a camera and it sometimes doesn't detect the movement. Far too often we get a notification of movement as the person moves out of the frame. Too often a delivery person can walk all the way up the drive to the door of our house and the only recorded video is of the delivery person getting back into their vehicle after the delivery. We have high-speed fiber-optic internet, so that isn't the issue. We have to restart the base station regularly because it will stop recording and alerting arbitrarily. If we want to view the cameras live, it can take a minute or more to connect and begin displaying the video. You have to dig around to find that continuous AC power is required for CVR. Both my wife and I are IT professionals and have worked with other security camera systems and regret this purchase.

    This camera is great. The sharpness is considerably better than the one I was using. And the spotlight is a great feature, especially as a deterrent.

    Recently switched from another product. The visuals are so much clearer in the Arlo app, even when zooming in. I just wish Arlo could add a live view of all devices when opening the app without having to select the device and wait for it to connect. Overall, better value and quality.

    This is great until you run into an issue. The product itself is great. But, Arlo does not offer any live support should you run into issues. I had an issue with subscription activation and they do not offer phone support nor email support. It is only available via chat. If you take longer than 3 minutes to answer, you’re immediately disconnected and have to try again. Just do not buy!

    I actually returned this product because the secure mount is permanently part of the camera. Other Pro 4 cameras I have use a screw on mount or a magnetic mount. This camera has no option to use a magnetic mount. The pro 4 camera I’d a good camera I just didn’t want this camera the way it had to be mounted.

    Support is terrible; no documentation; no detailed feature list available for when you try to get rid of the subscription. Billions of notifications for the same event with 10sec videos even when setup to record the whole event for up to 5minutes. I have been enable to talk through the cameras. I added a smarthub so I could drop the subscription after the trial period thinking I would only lose the smart notifie (animal/person/package identification) but reading people complaints that there is no remote access without subscription… Arlo seem to just want to milk the subscription and is dishonest (or more: not up front) about the product features.

    Finally installed these a couple day ago. No complaints yet, very easy to setup, picks up motion from a fair distance away, from cars and people to animals wandering around the yard at night. Great video and sound; even helped to inform a pizza delivery guy he had the wrong address while I was away from home.

    Arlo always connects easily, the free cloud trial cannot be beat. The image is best when in bright light or outside. The low light settings are excellent, image not as good but better than average. Arlo doesn’t miss a beat.

    Excellent camera. The video quality is great. No issues with the WIFi connection. The battery life is not as bad as I thought. We have one connected to a solar panel. That one goes back to 100% every day when there’s some sun. The other one, with no solar panel is at 87% after 2 weeks of low to medium traffic.

    Separated my wifi into 2 different channels so I could connect to the 2.4 ghz, but these Arlo cameras couldn't connect to my wifi. Reset my wifi to one channel and tried Google Nest cameras instead, and those work perfectly. Not sure why these get such great reviews, but I ended up returning them.
