If something is moving it will turn on but miss its target. For just viewing the camera there great but for home security try something else before wasting your money.

I have a constant interference sound with ticking while watching live feeds. Not always with recorded video, and also the resolution at night has become so bad, when looking at my truck in the driveway it looks like Playstation 1 graphics from 2000. Returning this camera and hopefully either get a functioning one or just pay more and try my luck with the Ultra 4k cam

Nest is just easier and more simple to install/use

would not buy

The cameras connect to the base station. They send me notification when they detect motion but they do not send the video to my library. worked fine with trial subscription. wanted cameras to work with my base not pay extra for subscription
