    I’ve used Arlo’s cameras for awhile and have been amazed by how much they’ve advanced over the years. This is my fourth Arlo product: the first couple were single cameras, then I got a doorbell camera, and now I have this spotlight camera. Unlike older Arlo cameras, this one doesn’t require a hub and can be tied into your home Wi-Fi. Picture quality is impressive; not only is it clear during the day, but the added spotlight also makes it just as clear at night. I installed the camera in a corner of my house to focus on my back deck, and the angle was so wide, I may consider installing it on a flat surface instead. Similar to the doorbell camera, it detects objects in motion (such as a human, animal, or vehicle), and it starts recording almost instantaneously. Installation was straightforward. Since I already had a base station for a previous model, I used it to install this camera as well. It was so easy to install with the base, I assume it would be just as easy without a base. I cannot comment on the battery life because it is so long – my other cameras have had great battery life, and this one claims to be even better. The only improvement I would suggest is increased volume on both ends of the two-way microphone audio. (It seemed a little quiet.) Because this is a fairly inexpensive camera, can be installed without a base station, and has such a great picture and a wide angle, I would highly recommend it for a wireless home security camera system.

    The Cameras were sent back because it doesn’t have a DVR that comes with the camera.

    I purchased this for my father in law’s security in December. In February, it completely shut down. After hours of troubleshooting, we replaced the power cord and battery, and after severL hours, got it working again, only for it to die again 3 months later. Will replace with more reliable hardware from Ring.

    So I like this camera . The image is very good. It detects animals and humans and let's you know which one. Tested this out with my brother and then the dog. The camera identified him as a human and the dog as an animal.i like that is has a light and turns on when someone passes by it. Night vision is good and clear. The mic is good picks up noise well. The speaker is not that great mind you its in my hallway its quiet there. The base is cool its magnetic so you can position the camera in many angles. The app is nice not perfect but it works. My issue is the camera uses the 2.4ghz and not 5ghz. Connecting to it has a delay. Also when I try to talk sometimes it won't connect. It's a pricey camera but it's solid

    Worest system ever. Takes 25 sec to load the videos. By that point why bother. The batterys dont last long we even got a solar panel and it wouldnt keep them charged. So we took ours back and got a ring. Which was cheaper!

    I bought and returned a total of 6 cameras for various reasons. Two wouldn’t connect, one quit working after a week. The website was not helpful and the chat bot told me I was not entitled to speak with a live person. I needed 4, ended up with 2 that worked, so I returned them and went with a different brand.
