    The Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Camera works without a hub or base station, and being wire free makes installation a snap. Download the app, register an account, enter your wifi information then plug the battery in the camera, scan a QR code, and you're pretty much done other than the actual camera mounting itself, which is as simple as everything else. I did an indoor installation in my server room and it took me 10 minutes start to finish. Not requiring a hub means you will have to subscrive to their cloud storage (a 90-day free trial is included) which starts at $2.99/mo for one camera. The camera comes with a removable battery which you can charge using the magnetic charging cable (it takes about 3 hours for a full charge), but it requires you taking the camera down. The claimed battery life is 6 months, but I saw it drop 25-30% in a week so if you put it anwhere there is much activity, you won't see anything close to the claimed battery time. They do offer an accessory battery and charge kit, so you can simply swap batteries when they get low, as well as a solar charger to keep a constant charge. The Arlo Pro 4 is full of features including HD (2K) live streamin, wide angle 160-degree view, built-in spotlights and sirens, two-way audio, color night vision, rechargeable batteries, weatherproof housing and support for Alexa and Google Assistant. The 2K resolution offers a clear and bright view of what's going on. Overall it's hard to beat. The only negatives I found is that it only supports 2 Ghz wifi, and the magnetic mount system which makes it so easy to install would also seem like it may make it easier for an intruder to take down or steal the camera.

    Replaced Pro and Pro 2 - worth every penny. I use these at multiple properties- great for security and keeping an eye on what wildlife is around- love you don’t have to have a base/ hooks direct to WIFI

    Purchased an additional Arlo wireless camera, only regret was that this specific model was a magnetic mount and not the security mount style. Wasn't very clear in the description.

    I got this so I could see whats happening at night when I sleep. I turned on my phone Hotspot, connected the camera to it and it was flawless. If you have cell and/or hot spot then you have an excellent HD cam with outstanding features for camping! If your camp ground has wifi, that works too.

    Cameras are ok when working but they won’t hold battery for anything. They won’t last 1 week even. I may have to ask for my money back if I can’t get them working.

    Worst Cameras on Planet Earth

    At first these cameras were cool. After the trail ends they want you to pay $10 a month for each camera storage. The cameras are useless without it. They NEVER connect. I have a Wifi6e Mesh setup at my home with 10,000+ square foot coverage. I pay $129.99 a month for gigabit internet and these cameras are trash. Biggest waste of $499.99. I might has well wiped the lowest hole in my back with that money. I threw them away I was sick of getting mad everyday. Lost interest

    I have never been this disappointed with an electronic item I bought. This is not just a review specific about Arlo 4 cameras but the fundamental problem with Arlo system in general. Arlo camera with hubs won’t work at all if you have 2.4 ghz wifi (who doesnot have right) issue is Arlo hubs use that spectrum to communicate apparently and can’t manage the conflict. This makes the hubs useless and with out monthly paid plans your cameras becomes worthless and won’t able able to recorded anything just the live feed. Now even if you put these cameras on the wifi they are slow response and they every to start showing the vdos including for the doorbell cameras. These production are build to work with paid monthly plans and not with hubs.

    Quality isnt terrible, but when it comes to attemtping to connect them or staying connected to the wifi. It tends to me a hassle. Cameras shouldnt be giving me probelms or making it difficult. At times i cant even load up a camera without waiting more then a couple minutes. After having them for a couple of years. I wouldnt recommend them for outdoor nor indoor use.

    Cameras seem to be good I have One the previous original arlo’s are low threes and now the pros 4. I have one camera that Has a line a crossed it constantly I’ve done all the resets that Arlo wish for me to do and the camera still functions but has the line.
