Have in front while the other is in back to record proof of loud neighbor after hrs yelling having parties. This one caught the car wash guy they hired. Dump his vacuum crap in front of our place along the curb. Went out and got his plates and he saw questioning I told him he needs to clean it up I got in on camera. If he dumps like this that means he dumps other stuff too and it may not be as small. This was from his first vehicle he cleaned and still had more to do. The camera is so good on zoom you could see his shorts were wet. Gross. Wonder if there cars smell like pee if he had to sit while cleaning.

If you don't subscribe the cameras will be beeping and sending alerts every 10 seconds. DON"T BUY IT. No support nor people to talk about it. I have to turn them off so I can work or sleep...what makes no sense for having cameras that are offline.

This is our first home security system. We have limited experience with our Arlo product. Installed external to the home prior to departure on an extended trip. Solid first impression. Easy installation and simple battery maintenance. Clear picture and sound. Sensors detect audible and visual interference both near and far with prompt notifications to your phone. Our only issue is the battery life. It does not last as long as advertised. In our limited experience, battery life is dependent on internet connectivity relative to camera location. Because we do not have a strong internet connection / service provider we experience significant lag and the units likely expend a significant amount of their power source searching / connecting. So under perfect conditions you may get up to or exceeding 30 days. Our experience is 1-2 weeks maximum battery life. Can update review once we have had the system in place with further knowledge of it's capabilities.

    Wire Free and Hub Free

The Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Camera works without a hub or base station, and being wire free makes installation a snap. Download the app, register an account, enter your wifi information then plug the battery in the camera, scan a QR code, and you're pretty much done other than the actual camera mounting itself, which is as simple as everything else. I did an indoor installation in my server room and it took me 10 minutes start to finish. Not requiring a hub means you will have to subscrive to their cloud storage (a 90-day free trial is included) which starts at $2.99/mo for one camera. The camera comes with a removable battery which you can charge using the magnetic charging cable (it takes about 3 hours for a full charge), but it requires you taking the camera down. The claimed battery life is 6 months, but I saw it drop 25-30% in a week so if you put it anwhere there is much activity, you won't see anything close to the claimed battery time. They do offer an accessory battery and charge kit, so you can simply swap batteries when they get low, as well as a solar charger to keep a constant charge. The Arlo Pro 4 is full of features including HD (2K) live streamin, wide angle 160-degree view, built-in spotlights and sirens, two-way audio, color night vision, rechargeable batteries, weatherproof housing and support for Alexa and Google Assistant. The 2K resolution offers a clear and bright view of what's going on. Overall it's hard to beat. The only negatives I found is that it only supports 2 Ghz wifi, and the magnetic mount system which makes it so easy to install would also seem like it may make it easier for an intruder to take down or steal the camera.

Trash. $350 amd you get two cameras partially charged up, one charging cable only. Sitting this “pro” camera right next to the Orbi mesh router and it gives Poor video bandwidth. As normal this camera is a boy able to use 2.4ghz. So the “2k” video is never met. Also, thanks me of the two devices right out of the box had a rattle and was scuffed up. Guess it was not “new?” Returning this.

Overall, it's a huge step up from where I'm coming from (Arlo Pro, 3 camera kit). There are a lot of fantastic things with this camera...but I had to take a star off for the ridiculous claim of having a 6 month battery life. Pros: - 2k picture quality looks great - much improved motion detection compared to my Arlo Pros - Color night vision with spotlight - Siren - Can connect direct to wifi without a base station (however in my installation I still have my 3 Arlo pros in play and the new Arlo Pro 4 connected just fine to my base station) - Smart alerts are very helpful (granted it's part of paid subscription) Cons: - battery hog. Granted I've got my motion sensitivity cranked up, highest video quality, and had a lot of traffic in the last week so it triggered a lot. However I would have been shocked if I made it a month. So I ended up ordering solar panel. TBD if it can keep up. Be prepared to either (a) charge more than the claimed 6 month battery life or (b) find yourself getting solar panel or outdoor wire for plugging in. - not a fan of the magnetic mounts. I wish it came with the stable, solid mounts like the Pro did. When I hang the magnetic mounts upside-down under my eaves, the camera just seems unsecure. Again, it's a fantastic camera. A couple of drawbacks, however. It does what I need and is a great upgrade from my Arlo Pros.

I've had the cameras for a week- crisp picture, great motion detection, but have had a few unexplained glitches - one drained a fully charged battery in a day despite being in a place where little motion happened and one inexplicably went offline despite there being strong wifi and full battery. easily reset but these periodic issues lead me to deduct a star.

Camera was extremely easy to set up. only took a few minutes after signing up for an Arlo account. There was also easy integration into third party camera apps, should you have cameras from other brands already in your household The magnetic mount seems strong, but i don't know if i'd use it for outdoors with the wind. Currently using it indoors for testing until the outdoor mount arrives and i can mount to my garage. There's a lot of customization that can be done based on how you plan on using it. Spot light would be handy if i install one in the backyard, but I'd likely keep the spotlight off and just have motion tracking/alerting as it will be monitoring my front door and driveway. I'll update my rating and review when i can better evaluate the battery life, but so far, out of 42 occurrences, i'm still at 97% battery. I will be fine tuning the triggering. at that rate ,8 triggers a day should get me to 6 months
