Easy to install. Picture is good. Battery dies fast if you have on constantly. Lost connection a few times but not sure if it is our wifi. Initially they synced properly after that sometimes we had trouble with it seeing the wifi. Again not sure if it is our wifi. All in all I like it even with the little set backs.

Good cameras, do have a little bit of a lag so could miss some movement. Don't care for the cost of viewing clips, this used to be 7 days free. Lights on camera are very bright and make recording at night in color very good. I've had a few other systems but Arlo by far is my favorite. I still have some of my original cameras I bought years ago and with no issues. Best thing I do like about the new cameras is they connect directly to wifi without having to have auxillary equipment. If you are looking for a security system , look no further. You will be happy with your purchase. From unboxing to having your system up and running will take minutes.

The cameras are pretty good but not quite as good as I thought they'd be. I thought the zoom would be a bit clearer being 2K cameras. I'd say they only do a fair job at detecting what the motion is though. I get a lot of alerts for "people" when they are cars and alerts for "vehicle" when it's really a person walking by. It's weird how some vehicles will register as vehicles and some will register as people. It seems odd that the system is not smart enough to tell a person from a vehicle. I do like the fact that you can customize what areas of the camera you get a notification for so you don't get a ton of alerts for stuff you don't care about (e.g., I don't want an alert every time a car goes by our driveway but I do want to know if someone/thing comes up the driveway). It'll still record the vehicles driving by but it won't send an alert. All-in-all, they do a good job and for the price, it's a decent system.

Cameras are good. I love the night vision. Batteries don’t last long better to connect to security or use solar panels to power. I dropped casing when installing, my bad. But Arlo support says they don’t sell the casing piece I need or tell me what part I did need, Arlo’s bad.

So far, on the whole, Arlo is the best and most consistent camera security system I've owned. Pros: -It consistently and reliably triggers with motion and records. -They can be placed anywhere you have wifi signal. These cameras can be placed in areas where wired cameras would have a real difficult time being placed. -It is customizable as far as recording duration, light, trigger zones, motion sensitivity, and which cameras will record when (customized modes). -The app is easy to use and rarely crashes like a couple of other camera and doorbell brands I've tried and still have. -They really are weather proof and of a quality build. Since they were installed, it's rained real hard several times, and they just keep going. -They are completely wireless. -These cameras can be stand-alone or connected to a base-station if you have one (that's beneficial if you want to record locally on a usb). Cons -After the trial period, they require a subscription for full features, including recording and access. -The quality of the recording is decent (not the greatest) and heavily dependent on the wifi quality. -The cameras are completely dependent on wifi to function with the cloud, but that's the nature of cloud based systems. -On this particular package, the attachment that is used to mount the cameras are not ideal. Not only are the internals easily broken (BE CAREFUL), but the mounts really limit the options for camera positioning. For the most part, they can only be mounted the way they are in the pic (horizontal mount facing horizontally). But, if you try and mount the cameras vertically (facing down) then try and move the camera horizontally, you'll be very limited. It will hit against the mounting dome. -The mounts are not easily replaced and the internals of the mounts are very fragile. BE CAREFUL installing them. If you strip a screw or break a piece of plastic internally, you'll be stuck. I'm not sure if they can be replaced with another type of mount. It looks like they can't. These are exclusive to Best Buy. I have a few other Arlos, and those mounts were not compatible. -Arlo's are expensive compared to other compatible brands.

These Arlo cameras have been really good for our New Home. I haven’t had any issues. Detection has been on point. It detects if a person,animal or vehicle have passed by. Very convenient especially when my husband and I both work and are away from home for a couple of hours. The app is very easy to use. User friendly. You can arm and disarm the cameras from anywhere through your mobile phone. Another awesome thing about the Arlo is that, it has a light that will turn on if something is detected. Very awesome tool. Comes in handy at night. The battery to me lasts a very long time. I would say about 3-4 weeks, estimate. It comes with an extra battery, so no cameras will be without one if one needs to charge. Which is awesome. To top it off, you’re able to communicate through the cameras from the app. This comes in handy! I one time had a package delivered in front of my home. And a dog started to bite it wanting to run away with it. So I was able to scare it off by talking through the camera. And sure enough it left!!! :D All in All, great camera to have, planning on purchasing more individual ones to put in different corners.!

I'm generally happy with the Arlo cameras minus a few things. The video quality is great and the app has all the features I'm looking for. Here are some things to consider before buying these cameras: 1. Continuous video recording - If you need this feature, you'll have to buy a separate base station. It wasn't 100% clear before buying this system that the base station would be a requirement for CVR. Because of the 'vid, this product is never in stock. 2. Battery Life - If you don't get the accessory power cable, the batteries only last about a week with normal activity. I've tried the various battery-saving measures/settings and a week is the best I can get. Luckily, two of my cameras have power nearby. Overall, this Arlo system is pretty good for most people. Just be aware the limitations might not be ideal for some installations.

System was fairly easy to set up. I am waiting for solar chargers to be available in multi-packs again before I order them. I would have liked to get more recording distance in my back yard as well as mount angle. Otherwise I am satisfied great picture and sound.

I purchased three Arlo Pro 4 cameras because we were burglarized. I set the sensitivity to high, but it doesn't stay as "high". I continually have to check it and change it back to high. Of the two cameras on the front of my house (pointed toward the street), they missed people and vehicles that were directly in front of my house. I changed the audio sensitivity to high so they basically record all day, 5 minutes at a time. I catch everything now. Well, sometimes the cameras go offline for no reason, but they generally come back online. One time I had to completely remove one camera from my account and reinstall. That was pretty annoying. There is no way to speed watch the recordings (that I know of). However, this is a minor inconvenience when you consider a stranger could be burglarizing your home and you don't know who they are, how they got in, etc. I purchased 2 extra batteries and will purchase a dual battery charger because even though I gave the cameras only 3 stars, I do like them.

Super easy to set up and install. Video quality is great and it has some really nice features. Down side is you have to keep the subscription to maintain most the features. I'm still on the trial period so I'm not sure if this system will meet my basic needs once it ends. I also havent gotten close to the battery life they claim. Not a big deal but if my basic needs are met after trail I might add a solar panel to the cameras.

The build is solid, easy to install, and set up. The battery however is a disappointment for me, I had to recharge it within 20 days. One is set facing the door and is triggered 6-8 times a day which was enough to run the battery dead. the app is very easy to use. Video quality is decent. These are good to set them up in low transited areas, at night, or when you are away. You can also select what motion triggers the camera (animals,people,vehicles,other) so you don’t get unwanted notifications.

I would give them a much higher rating if not for the fact that the batteries don't stay charge for more than a week. I have almost every setting turned off and have set the areas in which they focus. Still, they don't last. I had to run chargers to every camera which defeats the purpose of them being wireless! Otherwise, they work great. Picture quality is good, motion quality is good and the app is user friendly.

I have tried nest, ring, and hard wired security cameras. These are by far the worst of the bunch. Among the many probelms like, battery life, time to connect, long response and warning time, paid service, terrible mounting, The worst problem is how every time you have to change the batteries and sometimes between you have to reconnect and most of the time remove the camera from your app and then reinstall it fully. I put these cameras out of reach of people, so they cannot walk off with them. If you do the same then they probably are super easy to remove, bring near router, scan QR code 30 times because it never connects quickly, then troubleshoot 29 times to try and get them to be recognized. Then go put them back in whatever out of reach spot you put them in. Ultimately you have so many better options that are a lot more inexpensive with better features, subscription service, and less hassle. In this case more expensive is definitely not better.

I recently purchased the Arlo - Pro 4 and have been extremely impressed with its performance. So far, so good. Really love the clarity of the cameras, both day & night. We have 3-ARLO Pro4 cameras, 1-ARLO-Essential Video Doorbell (think RING doorbell) & 1-ARLO Pro4 Spotlight Camera for above the garage. I have all angles & entry points covered. The spotlight is very bright. I like that you talk through the cameras and address anyone that is in front of them ... and the convenience of being able to set the length of recording times & many other options. I purchased a solar panel for spotlight camera & am thinking of adding 3 more solar panels for the other cameras, but you will definitely need a couple extra batteries & a charger too, for quick changeouts, with little loss of security coverage. I'm not into the contract side of ARLO yet, but that's coming once free trial has ended. I will say that I became a TotalTech member because of this purchase & as such, they will come out & install your cameras, at no charge. Also, being a Best Buy TotalTech member has other benefits. Look into it & see if it works for you. Overall, I am happy with purchase so far ... if that changes, I will amend this review.

We like these cameras, the picture is great, better than the other surveillance cameras our friends have. They were fairly easy to set up. We still have not found the right spot for all of them but happy with our purchase. The staff at Bestbuy were very helpful.

Overall a good camera system in a landscape full of alternatives. These things chew through battery unless you lower the motion sensitivity and/or set activity zones. Also had issues during setup connecting the cameras to my WiFi using my Android phone -- but my wife's iPhone worked just fine. Pros: - Great video quality - Easy to mount/install - Good AI (motion, people, packages, vehicles; activity zones, etc.) Cons: - Could be difficult for Android users during initial setup - Battery life is so-so unless you lower the sensitivity (lasted about 2 weeks) - Subscription service required for all the advanced features, but they give it to you free just long enough for the return period to end

Looking for something to use at work, I didn’t want to run wires, run cable or have anything difficult to install and setup. Super easy to install, each camera comes its own kit to mount and secure. Charging base can charge two batteries at once. Before you mount the camera, charge the batteries, download the app, follow the prompts and you are ready to go. Yes there is a slight delay while you are watching from your smartphone, but be realistic and understand phone connects to system, system connects to camera and then relays what is being seen. You can see the battery percentage on the app so you know exactly how each battery is doing. You can adjust the ZONE so you are not getting constant notifications for everything the comes across the screen. The wide angle lens lets you see so much and clarity is very good. Very impressed with this setup. First 30 days is free.

Good solid product but has its flaws. The Ultra 2 have the best video and sound by far then other models I own (i.e. pros, pros 2, and the Pro 4s with the exception of my indoor Arlo Qs that have the same exceptional video and sound ). The Ultra 2's have much better night vision than the Pro 4, much louder onboard speaker, and farther and loader onboard microphone. Major negative - the sound output on the camera itself is useless unless you are 2 feet away or in a very quiet indoor environment. The Ultra's are much better. The wide angle on the Ultras are much better. Night vision is better than previous pro models but not as good as the Ultra. Battery life is ok but you will grow very tired of replacing batteries especially if you have to get a ladder out. Highly recommend a truly wireless / powerless system by purchasing the solar panels. My Ring cameras have their advantages and disadvantages as well. To get the perfect indoor and outdoor security video system, you need a combination of both Ring and Arlo. Much more convenient and easy to install than traditional wired cameras, however, when you local wifi or internet goes down, so does your cameras. Bottom line: the Pro4's are an improvement over the Pro2's. Not sure if its worth the price to upgrade from the Pro2s though. If you need night vision or listening capabilities, the Ultra 2s are much much better but with a price.
