Software is generally intuitive. Set up is simple but you must follow the directions. Mounting is easy, but does have some limitations on how it is able to swivel, so make sure you can get the correct angles. I love how long the batteries last. I need to swap them every couple of months. I bought three more cameras to fill in my "blind spots" and there is no drag on my wifi to have six cameras without purchasing their hub. I would recommend it as a fairly inexpensive alternative to a wired solution. My neighbor saw the picture quality, but didn't want to spend the money and bought a cheap one mail order. He regrets the quality, the lag, the drag and how often he needs to swap out batteries. He said he is going to throw his away and get the Arlos.

Good solid product but has its flaws. The Ultra 2 have the best video and sound by far then other models I own (i.e. pros, pros 2, and the Pro 4s with the exception of my indoor Arlo Qs that have the same exceptional video and sound ). The Ultra 2's have much better night vision than the Pro 4, much louder onboard speaker, and farther and loader onboard microphone. Major negative - the sound output on the camera itself is useless unless you are 2 feet away or in a very quiet indoor environment. The Ultra's are much better. The wide angle on the Ultras are much better. Night vision is better than previous pro models but not as good as the Ultra. Battery life is ok but you will grow very tired of replacing batteries especially if you have to get a ladder out. Highly recommend a truly wireless / powerless system by purchasing the solar panels. My Ring cameras have their advantages and disadvantages as well. To get the perfect indoor and outdoor security video system, you need a combination of both Ring and Arlo. Much more convenient and easy to install than traditional wired cameras, however, when you local wifi or internet goes down, so does your cameras. Bottom line: the Pro4's are an improvement over the Pro2's. Not sure if its worth the price to upgrade from the Pro2s though. If you need night vision or listening capabilities, the Ultra 2s are much much better but with a price.

Easy set up. Installed them myself. All you need is a drill and Arlo provides everything else. I had Ring cameras before and these are much better! The video quality is way better than Ring! Much more clear and night vision. I had heard these do not work with a Mesh Wifi system but that isn't true. They work great and I have mesh. Highly recommend.

Great camera. However if you do not purchase a subscription after the 3 month trial period you have a very expensive motion detector and live camera view only. The cameras do not store any video so just be aware of this. Be prepared to either spend more money on a subscription or be satisfied with a great motion detector. The cameras needed to be reset a few times in the few months I had them, that's a major problem! The battery is good for a month unless you purchase a solar charger. With everything working as it should it's a great camera. With everything I dealt with I would seriously compare your choices.

I have had to use customers service a couple of times for setting up or trouble shooting so make sure if you can't figure it out just call don't spend hours suffering lol. The audio could be better. There is a few seconds delay so you aren't seeing everything in real time which can have pros and cons. Battery life is not long if you have a high traffic area so you would need to add the part the recharges otherwise you will be changing the battery everyday. I purchased the surveillance system so that all my videos are saved I think if you have a security system might as well. The video comes out nice as well as the audio. You can zoom in and slow down. I looked around the market and this is what I found to have best reviews.

I like these cameras for their easy setup and good features. However the motion and audio are delayed and theres a lot of backround noise that gets picked up, especially the wind blowing. These cameras do require a subscription, however I do believe these cameras came with a 1 month subscription for each camera. On the bright side these turn on and start recording when they should and the app has a bunch of options for you to adjust and settings to tinker with to adjust everything down to the audio sensitivity and motion detection range. I recommend these cameras mostly for their easy setup, really good battery life, (you can get solar panels to charge the batteries passively on this specific model camera, however they are compatible with other arlo models), great value, value for quality, really decent app, notification options, features, decent video quality, and camera reliability thus far.

The battery life on them is not great, I have to change the battery once a week. I plan on purchasing the wired ones, my neighbors have great reviews on the wired ones. Picture and sound are great just the battery and since they are battery operated well you know

I LOVE THIS SYSTEM! I bought it for my beauty salon and it’s perfect. I love it so much that I’m going to go ahead and get some for my home as well. It’s super easy to use, pretty self explanatory but also has an easy walk through on how to set up and use the app. I placed some cameras on the outside of my building and was worried about the quality in the dark but it actually has a light on the top of the camera that comes on when motion is detected so you can make sure to get a clear view. There’s also an alarm option in case an emergency happens. Overall definitely recommend for a business or home.

Easy setup, crystal-clear video, and great motion detection. Perfect for keeping an eye on my home, indoors and out. Caught my son flying off the driveway on his dirt bike. Priceless & hilarious. (he was ok, no worries) Worth every penny!

Arlo is nice to feel more secure. I can see if anyone is at my door, or wherever I installed them. Problem is it doesn't trip the sensor until it's within about 10-15 feet at the most, even though you can see much farther on the viewing area. Most of the time it only trips the sensor within about 8-10' only. It's also not great at night vision. It changes to black and white and is grainy quality. One of the three that I got has a 'Halo' around the view area that's blurry, esp at night. Not happy with that one and wondering if I should return it (but it's not easy to access where it is installed). I got these for security purposes, but on my credit card I purchased it with labels it as 'entertainment'. That isn't the case. Makes this purchase look frivolous, labeling it as a entertainment. I like the spot light feature for when I walk out at night I don't need to have a flash light to see in that area. It only stays on for a few seconds but it's better than nothing. I like being able to check my house if not home or for packages left. I also like the labeled motion alerts, tho they are not always right. Batteries last about a month on first charge. Not sure how long that will last but it's good to not have to charge them too often. I don't like that the Wi-Fi signal is strong but the camera takes a long time to buffer in order to go live to check surroundings a lot of times. I also don't like that I can't seem to select a specific tone as it's particular notification sound. I do not like the thought of paying to view my devices on my own WiFi. That seems like a complete scam. The camera system itself cost plenty; adding a monthly fee to use what I bought isn't right. It's not like it's hooked to the police station or anything like that service wise. It's just for me to see and know if someone is there or did damage to something.

The cameras are very easy to set up, clear picture quality, battery life not that great can fluctuate depending on high traffic areas, overall great video quality.

Been using for almost 2 years now. The only thing good about this system is the video quality. Then everything else brings Arlo down. My main beef with this system is not being able to consistently connect to the cameras from the app. Sometimes it works then it doesn’t… I will get a “buffering/loading” wheel while trying to connect then the app just gives up. Will have to either restart the camera or remove/reinstall for it to work again. Next is the delay. Had an intruder in my backyard. By the time I received the notification to help the police, he was gone. And the recording prematurely stop recording his motion so we couldn’t even tell where he went. Oh, and one of the cameras didn’t want to connect after just viewing through it. Next, if you want to use the smart notifications, and recordings, get ready to pay a monthly fee. To use this system, it’s $12.99 per month currently. Next, they advertise the batteries will last about 3-6 months on a charge… NOPE. I was having to recharge every 1-2 months, sometimes earlier. Maybe if I set the camera quality/feature all the way down and turn smart notifications off I’d get that but then what’s the point. Spent extra money on the solar panels and cables just to keep the cameras on. What a pain. I even bought the wired doorbell to compliment this purchase… same problems minus the charging issues. In addition, one of the cameras has a buzzing/static noise issue when on/recording. All my cameras are under eves and patio and don’t get dirty or wet when raining. No direct sunlight, prime location and good WiFi connection. Why the spotty connecting. System/app is too buggy and not reliable. Do yourself a favor and get a wired/local system.

Overall, great camera, great app, able to creat zones and toggle on/off all motion, people, vehicles, animals, and packages are helpful. Arming and disarming system is also great when you know you will be for example in and out of your house near your camera so it won’t keep recording. The major downside is battery life. I don’t think Arlo is very transparent when it comes to how an average user will use this camera and how this effects battery life. If your camera is near your front door and you use that door for entrance to your house. A handful of video captures a day will drain the battery in about a week. It’s a little inconvenient but since it pulls off the base magnetically, it’s easy to charge and charges quickly. Buying the outdoor plug in or solar charger is a good idea if you don’t want to manage battery life. Connection, clarity, night vision b/w and color when the light comes one are all very good. Claimed battery life with average usage, meaning video capture and occasional live viewing is nowhere near what Arlo claims. If you can live with weekly charging or hardwiring then I highly recommend this camera.

Overall I'm happy with the cameras. Mounting was very easy, the batteries charge quickly, the video quality is excellent and the Best Buy bundle with the extra battery has been beyond beneficial. My only complaint at this point is finding the balance between battery life and enough recording. Even with reducing some sensitivity and constricting my activity zone my driveway cam goes through a battery charge within two weeks, which is the main reason why I'm thankful for that 4th battery. I can be swapped out and back online inside of a minute.

The cameras work fine, however everywhere I looked it states its compatible with a base station. This is false advertising. they have purposely stopped these from recoding as they should on a base station just to try and force you into their subscription. I was looking to add to my existing setup and did not want a subscription. As mentioned they will still work with my base station but I had to set up a flash drive to get recordings from these cameras while my old arlo cameras still record on the original base station. this flash drive setup is far less than ideal. you need to remove the flash drive from the base station and put it in a computer to see the recordings. These recording are also seemingly randomized on the flash drive so you will be looking through a lot of video to find the one you are looking for if you need to. of course if you pay the monthly feel on top of the large amount for the set up they seem to have a lot of useful features. my primary issue is the statement that they are compatible. when you have to sacrifice that much usability I don't consider it compatible especially since these sacrifices are written in the software to try and force people to get the subscription.

Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight camera are great at night and in low light. They're doing what we needed. We did have some trouble with battery life however tech support was great in trying to help solve the problem. We did have an issue in that we could not get the Pro 2 or Pro 4 to pair with my Samsung Galaxy S10. Luckily hubby has an iphone or I would have had to return the cameras. Arlo could do better with that, and instructions. I can't say the pairing process is easy but we got it done.

Bought theses as they were on sale and I had reward points to use...video quality and audio work very well. The downside is connecting to the WIFI can be troubling especially when following the instructions. Example, the blue light does NOT need to be flashing throughout the connection process. Discovered that when talking to technical support! Lastly, battery life is NOT good unless you reduce motion sensitivity!!1 Word to the wise, buy extra battery!

Cameras are excellent quality. Grassy video, easy to use. However, the batteries are not lasting 6 months before needing to be recharged. I have been using them for nearly a month and have to switch out the batteries about every 9-10 days. I’m not sure what I can do to preserve my battery power, I have adjusted my “viewing area” more than I wanted to, I may change the location of the cameras to se if that helps. Overall, I think they are an excellent choice and this package has the extra batteries and charging station so good value.
