    Lousy Customer Service!

We recently purchased a 2-pack of black Pro 4 cameras. We have only set up one so far; pretty straight forward though I would call the mounting base not as sturdy as I would like; but it works thus far. So the camera is fine and we will be investing in more cameras, spare batteries, charger, etc seeing as we have already purchased these (not inexpensive) devices. The big issue we have had is the quality of the customer support. In our experience, it sucks! We have an issue trying to set up a second Arlo account so that the "system" can be viewed separately by different family members. The advertized 24/7 customer support has been non-existant in our experience. Anyone I have finally gotten to speak to has either tried to convince me to buy their subscription as the only way to fix the matter, or has promised that someone would contact us to deal with it! Any email request has also resulted in no response. As of today one of the customer service numbers goes unanswered and the other is permanently busy. So, the camera works ok, the customer service does not!

    Pro4 upgrade

I updated my old Arlo cameras with Pro4. A great improvement with quality and features. The spotlight is handy, though I keep it off until I say to turn on. The zoom in and follow is also a good feature that seems to work well so far.

Web address for camera use is wrong

Instructions for setup are abysmal. I managed to pair the cameras and got the app to work but I wanted to be able to use my laptop to see the photos and that's when I began to lose patience. Finally figured out that the downloaded manual had left out a dot on the web address. It's https://my.arlo.com/#/login -- the manual left out the dot between my and arlo. What a stupid error that cost me hours of grief. So far, the cameras seem to be good once we figured out how to watch them online!

Arlo 4 Pro Camera is a great product

I've tried several different cameras over the past two years and the Arlo Pro 4 is by far the easiest to install and setup. The mobile app makes installation a breeze and has a signal strength meter as well as your camera view to use to determine where best to hang your camera. No other camera I tried had this. Battery life is great and has barely lost a few percent in the two weeks I've had them up. And having a battery is so freeing! You can install these cameras practically anywhere you want and not have to worry about power or ethernet drops being available. The picture is great and setting up you motion areas is a snap. I give the Arlo Pro 4 5 Stars and I recommend them to anyone interested in home security. No matter what your skill level these are for you.

    Great spotlight camera

Love these cameras. I have 7 total and 2 have gone bad, so that's the reason for losing a star. They go bad after the warranty period. Other than that - love them. I have it pointed to the front driveway and I have seen it deter people from walking up my driveway. They have gotten next to my vehicle and as soon as the spotlight goes on, they run off. I love it!

    Good for the money

Bought this for sale price of 348, then had a 200 coupon, so paid 150. Great deal for 150. First video system and learned enough to be able to say the best bet is an 8k wired system. 2K WONT GET TOY RHE DETSIL YOY NEED TO SEE A FACE AT 20ft. The batteries for wireless just does not last more than a week if you enable all the features. Solar charging doesn’t work well in the winter time. If you go with a power adapter..it can over charge the batteries leading to needing replacements. Becuase of this…the best bet is an 8k wired solution. But for the sale price of this system and any coupons you can get, this system is a hood starter. There is a monthly subscription that you have to have to use all the features.

    Perfect for our Vacation Rental

We just purchased a short-term vacation rental in North Topsail Beach, NC. Because we live in Indiana, we wanted a camera system to monitor the property when it’s not being rented out. The three- camera system allows us to monitor the front porch, back porch and carport where our storage shed is located. The clarity is fantastic and we now have piece of mind knowing that if anything happens, we can send alerts to local authorities and even trigger the alarms, if needed. Thanks Arlo!

Batteries seem to be the only issue when it comes to changing them periodically. I'd be careful how high you put these as you may be doing it once a month. In Las Vegas, NV I wonder if you get more than 3 weeks with a fully charged battery at 100 degrees plus??? If it's anything like "Tesla" batteries...Good Luck! My nest door neighbor told me I threw my money out...LOL

I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The quality of the video is perfect for a wireless camera. The only issue is that the cameras need to be charged almost weekly. I will Definitely be investing in the solar panel Unfortunately!!

I have an indoor 4 camera system so when this came out I had to try it out. This camera is very easy to install and connect to my system. The quality is great in day or night. I have not checked the battery life yet but it looks like it is doing well in the 10-15 deg F nights we have been having. I know in cold weather batteries do not last as long as in warmer weather. But to charge this I can either connect the included charging cable and run a power cable to it or just grab the camera and pull it off the mounting base as it is magnetic and go inside and charge and then just attach it back to the base. I had another outdoor camera and that one I had to push really hard to connect to the mount and in the winter it was really hard due the fact it was cold out. If you are looking for a dependable and clear camera system I would not hesitate to spend the money on this system.

    Impressed

I bought the Arlo Pro 4 after my initial purchase of a competitor that required Ethernet to work. That is not a solution for us because we have WiFi as the only option. Because of our unsuccessful first attempt, I was pretty skeptical trying another video camera that claimed it would work with an internet connection. I am so impressed and love that I have the ability to choose how each camera’s job-one can constantly monitor and notify me, the other can be off or just on within being armed. The sound and video quality is impressive. These are exactly what I need for my home and I love that I can watch them live at any time.

I bought some Arlo cameras about 6 years ago and have been using them until I replaced them with 4 of these cameras. The video quality is amazing and the battery life is a BIG improvement. The WiFi range is really good. I placed the cameras outside my house and I still have good quality reception. I also bought 2 of the solar panels and they work awesome keeping the batteries charged no matter how many recordings I have. I plan on getting 2 more solar panels for the other 2 cameras. Easy to install and set up. I definitely would recommend these to anyone looking for a easy to use, high quality system.

So far good cameras, easy setup, and Install. Now for the bad, expensive for what they are , not knowing the issuses before hand that they do have have until i started looking on their form. Battery life sucks badly. So, before you buy, decide if you really wanna spend that kind of money for adequate camera’s where now there are cheaper price with same performance.. Im ready to take these back and go with another

I have several versions of Arlo cameras, so I'm happy to say adding the Arlo Pro4 fit in easily to my existing system. What's new with the Pro4? Well, if you don't already have an Arlo hub - you can use this camera without one! Myself, I integrated it with a hub and added it into my scheduled modes and recording rules. Works like a champ. There are plenty of other features...all listed in the product description - to me the hub-less ability stands out the most. I haven't had it long, but battery life has held strong thus far. Image quality is great - options for Field of View include 160 degree wide and, 125 degree standard and 110 degree full. It seems to "fisheye" a bit on the higher FOV setting, but is definitely workable. Overall - very happy with the product and would like to upgrade all my cameras to the Pro4 model!

Best wireless cameras iv used. Iv gone through many brands and arlo never disappoints. Javing updated to the battery pack ones was a must. After years of use the charges don’t seem to hold on the older models which dont jabe bayteru packs can switch out.

I really liked your system for capturing people, animals, packages, the one that you can activate an alarm from your cell phone or simply that by clicking on your cell phone you can talk on camera, the battery has already been two weeks and is great, good performance and good video quality both during the day and at night, I'm happy with this choice, and the best thing is that it's not magnetic, so it doesn't get stolen
