    Poor Connectivity, Battery Life

Having used the Arlo Pro system for about 6 months now, I have to say I am very disappointed in the overall execution. The cameras are motion activated and most off the time it misses most of the action. I am using this with a Netgear Orbi router in a middle-sized home and the cameras have trouble staying connected to my wifi. If a camera shows one "bar" of connectivity, the chances are it will not connect to live view at all or it will miss the action. The camera is maybe 75 feet away and the wifi signal only has to pass through one wall. The second issue is battery life. My two furthest cameras have terrible battery life. Sometimes they last a maximum of three days. Battery life has gotten worse in the Texas heat. Closer cameras last about 3 weeks. I do like the user interface. Video clips can be downloaded easily and the image quality is usually pretty good. However for the price and functionality, I am disappointed in this purchase.

When it works, it's good. But, the geofencing doesn't work at all. I hated hearing the siren everytime I walked into my own house. You have to log into the app so it can recognize that you're home. Customer Service says they're working on a fix, but that was a year ago and I haven't heard anything from them since I called. I do hate when I have to get out the ladder to change the batteries. I do like the portability of the cameras. For all of the trouble I have with the features, I think the system should be $100 cheaper. If I didn't have such an old home, I would get a weird system...

I wanted some adsed security for my home that was easy to install. This was it. Only down fall is that it doesnt always pick up the person. It did pick up as small as a bee and hummingbird. Just sometimes it doesn't pick up a person.

Camera system is very good when placed properly. If trying to cover your house/yard, I'd recommend at least 4 cameras. There is some lag time between detection and video capture. This may be due to the video being stored in the cloud.

Completely wireless, free video capture, rechargeable batteries, good clean picture, and good motion response. I just wish it had a way to block out certain areas for motion sensor. I had the Arlo HD before this and I know this spring I will get a lot of false movement from the trees when the wind blows.

It's okay. My main complaint is the price. It's set too high for a simple camera system. I would have to swap out the battery every month of heavy use. Go wired if you can.

Arlo is great. Has a lot of features like alarm mode a d you can actually talk into it as well. The only problem I see is it only record for 10 seconds which I'm trying to figure out if it can record longer. If it can it would be great

Set these up in my new apartment, full of electronics and allows me to see every angle! Only notifies me when the apartment is empty because it uses Geofencing to determine if you are home, meaning it won't constantly bombard you with notifications unless there's a real break in.

This product is super easy to install and to use. The downer is the battery life. Get about a month in areas that detect a lot of movement such as outside our garage.

Within one week of buying the Arlo system, I had already caught a thief at 3:15AM checking for unlocked cars in my driveway. I know have 7 cameras and a Premium subscription and am going to purchase another system for a commercial property I own.

Finding the sweet spot for placement took a bit, but that was by choice. Found that some of my spots didn't work because is was behind a window so the motion didn't take. Since then they work fine, my main goal was watching my dogs... best part, talking to them and telling them to stop what they are into.... LOL

this is the best deal around. better than costco which only has three cameras. wish they included a few more cameras. for a larger home definitely need more cameras. for a small home under 1000 FT2 you'll be fine.

The rechargeable battery needs to be replaced every three to six months with regular use. Batteries are $50 per camera. The camera will not work without a live battery and you cannot bypass a dead battery to a power outlet.

The battery that came with the camera would not hold its charge. I had to contact the company to get a new one. Since then the camera has worked good. Also, the audio feature (voice) isn’t very loud. Must be very close to hear.

It works but you must be very close to actually start recording. Still images are clear but moving images are a little blurry. Kept the cameras, like the ease , very simple set up.

Don’t rely on the battery. It picks up all movement like a flag blowing or a wind chime. It goes crazy in the wind. Because of this, the battery dies quickly if set on sensitive. Highly recommend the power cord with it.

The wireless functionality is great. It allows me to place the cameras where needed. However the shorter battery life and the occasional loss of connectivity with the base station is frustrating to have to resync the devices.

Picture quality isn't bad, but the audio feature that allows you to communicate needs quite a bit of improvement. The fact that they are completely wireless is a great feature though
