    Really great cameras. They provide a good quality in the day time and night. You do require more equipment especially if you want to record and there is a monthly subscription but it’s not required. I would recommend this

    Well, the cameras do have a wide angle which I do love. The reason for four stars is that at 2K when you zoom in it’s no better than my 1080 P resolution models. The charge time is a bit slower too comparatively speaking

    I've had the 3 pack of the Arlo Pro 5S 2K security cameras for 7 months, purchased the 3 pack kit in December of 2023 to replace several Arlo Pro 4 cameras as I wanted the ability to connect directly to Wi-Fi vs. running through a hub/basestation with limited range. The Pro 5S cameras have the ability to connect to both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi networks and are supposed to automatically choose the network with the strongest signal. I have a TP-Link BE85 3 node Wi-Fi 7 mesh system, so coverage on my entire property is excellent. The issue: all 3 cameras frequently fail to detect motion events, or worse stop detecting motion events altogether. For the most part, a daily restart kicks the cameras back in to do their job; however, over the past 7 months I've had to factory reset all 3 cameras as they stopped recording events, 1 of them has required multiple factory resets. As of a week ago, I have 1 camera that appears to be working fine, shows full signal strength and a has a fully charged battery but it will not record any events. Arlo support has been unhelpful in pinpointing the issue - also asking me to perform yet another factory reset (which I did) and to move the camera closer to the Wi-Fi router (it's permanent location where it's installed is less than 12 feet from the router, so plenty close), but moved it temporarily to within 5 feet, followed up with support and they said "the issue is resolved", which it's not. I went so far as to remove 2 of the 3 cameras from my system, performed a factory reset on both, hooked up my "old" Arlo VMB4540 hub (Pro 5S compatible mind you) to rule out an issue with my mesh Wi-Fi system, placed it within 12 feet of the 2 cameras, reconfigured the 2 cameras and tested them. Everything appears normal, but now neither camera is consistently recording motion events. The cameras have been an expensive, time-consuming journey with no results. The Pro 5S cameras are worthless in terms of offering any sense of security. Again, this isn't a signal issue, it's a fatal flaw with this product and knowledgeable support from the manufacturer is non-existent. Save your money and look elsewhere.

    We bought these as well as an eesrntials 2 pack. For the differences, primarily the removable battery, it wasnt worth the price. Also, fhe mounting system onnthe Pro 5S was limiting.

    We have quite a few Arlo prouducts, ans i love how they all work together and integrate seamlessly to make us feel super secure! I love that the subscription is optional, but it’s definitely worth it! The best part? No hardwiring required!

    This set is very easy to set up and get going. There are so many different settings to use when and if needed. We have our settings dialed in with our needs and use it ever day and night.

    $20 Subscription, Bad Camera Quality

    For $250 I think there are better options out there, especially if you only need one camera. I bought this camera because it stated that it can record continuously which is exactly what I wanted as smart cameras with motion detection often lag and miss a lot of events even on the highest sensitivity settings (for example, the Ring Stick Up Camera - don’t buy it unless you’re looking for very short range motion detection). Because of this I needed a camera that was able to record continuously and allow me to rewind to a specific time/date. The Arlo Pro 5s DOES have this ability however it requires a $20 a month subscription to CVR services as well as a $100 smart hub. For some that may sound like a steal however for myself, having only one camera, it just didn’t make sense. Other issues I have with the camera is that the motion detection doesn’t pick up enough events on the standard setting with no CVR subscription so you almost HAVE to purchase CVR. The app also has very minimal motion detection settings compared to Ring. It’s also easier to navigate Ring’s app as well as invite people. The Arlo app itself is laggy. Another rather large issue is that without the spot light the night vision is terrible. It’s entirely too dark compared to the Ring camera I had previously which had no spotlight which was only $99. I can see this set up being ideal if you have multiple cameras and possibly an entire security/surveillance set up. But still for $250 I think there are better options out there for what this camera has to offer as standard features. For $250 I was pretty disappointed and this review sounds like a Ring ad but I actually bought the Arlo to replace the Ring because I didnt like it so that’s saying something…

    Disappearing camera

    I've had two cameras go offline and I'm not sure why. Also the description has vanished. I was able to access and put back one of the cameras so far.
