Not the easiest to install. Definitely needed customer service. Also had to separate my WiFi 2.4 and 5 GHz as you need the 2.4 GHz to install. Once it’s up and running I’ve been happy. Getting there was tedious.

more important than my personal insights, the wizards at Wirecutter / NY Times feel that this is the security camera to buy. Their review was based on the prior model, the Pro 4 for wireless outdoor cameras. But the Pro 5 offers better battery life and it also supports dual-band Wi-Fi. So I felt this was even better. It was purchased as a gift to my daughter, who has noted an increase of automobile break-ins in her neighborhood for vehicles parked outdoors at night. This will ease both our anxieties. This camera offers their opinion of the best combination of detailed video performance, specialized alerts, and easy installation. And it is compatible with all the Smart Home systems widely used (notably including Apple HomeKit, Google, Alexa, etc.)

I have both Arlo Pro 4 and 5s cameras, and within the last few months, every single one of them started experience extreme battery depletion within a week! I used to get anywhere from 1.5 to 2 months on a single charge. 3 cameras are only 1 year old; 3 are 1.5 years old, 3 are about 2 years old. My theory is a firmware update was pushed and is causing this problem. Its the only reasonable explanation that all 9 cameras of different ages would suddenly not last a week! At $50 each, its asking lot to have to already replace 9 batteries. Even if I did, I suspect it won't fix the problem. Besides this problem, the app is basically basic. With the money I'm paying for the subscription service, the app should have a lot more capabilities, especially more automation than offered currently.

Problem i notice is the batteries tend to not last the full 8 months as stated.. i had to change one after only 1 month.!! That wws the garage one. Otherwise i wish additional batteries to outchaee would be a little cheaper so i could build a small inventory to be able telonreplace and charge gonneep all cameras online just in case.!

Camera sharpness in color is vey good, as are the notification features. Installation was straightforward and integration with the app was seamless.

Great product never had a problem with Arlo easy setup and use

The quality and connectivity is subpar for the price you pay, especially for monitoring. The Arlo app is expensive when comparing to other brands, and then you have to pay to be able to scrub the clips forward or back, and that’s ridiculous. We sadly returned after a week and went another route. Also, don’t expect their wireless 2K to be a clear pic.

The instructions were clear and setup was quick and easy.

I have the Arlo Ultra 2 and the Pro 5. The major problem with both cameras is the fact that they keep going off-line. It's not a wi-fi/internet problem. My internet has a strong signal and the Arlo hub's connection light stays solid blue (which means it's connected with the wi-fi/internet), however, the cameras go off- line. This leads me to believe the cameras stop communicating with the Arlo hubs. I've done all the trouble shooting recommendations and even though I can get the cameras back on-line they'll go off- line again. It's very frustrating. Arlo needs to figure out the cause of the camera's failure to communicate with their hubs and send an update to correct the problem!
