  • Latency in event notification and needs 2.4ghz

    The streaming has big gap/latency after the event. Also, to setup you have to be on 2.4ghz wifi connection which is little annoying as you have to configure your router or mesh to separate between 2.4ghz and 5ghz

    Arlo has officially priced themselves out. The cost of the camera and then the almost mandatory subscription (you can but a hub to local record) and the absolute SNAIL PACE activation is just too much. I have gigabit internet and when it takes the cameras almost 8 seconds to respond, that’s an issue. Tapo andEufy are hands down better option with no sub.

    If you don't subscribe to one of their plans, I feel like you don't get much. Without a 'plan' you don't alerts. The only thing I can see is a live feed. Very little insight into setting it up.

    Coundn't get the new cameras to connection with orginal Arlos. Don't like the updated app or the construction of the cameras.
