With the addition, was an update to the software. So far, so good. New software has new interface, and much less connection issues.

You cannot access any video recordings, which is the whole point of a security system! I also own a previous gen Arlo with a base station and it works well. Arlo completely messed this up in order to get more money through the subscription. If you don't mind paying $150/year, then the camera quality and features are very good.

One of the 3 cameras had a defective Night Mode that kept switching the IR off and on rapidly and continuously. Arlo tech support initially kept throwing FAQ responses to me. When I was finally able to send them a video of what the camera was doing, they escalated my case to the next tier. All that tier did was send me request after request for updates on my email account; they kept telling me it was an incorrect email address. They wouldn't help me until I told them I was returning the cameras for a refund. All of a sudden my email account was now "active" but my cameras were offline. Well yeah, I already boxed them up for the return. They wasted many hours of my time. It felt like they just wanted to get rid of me. Well, they succeeded.
