    Upgrade over the Arlo essential spotlight cameras. I replaced the essential spotlight series. It is an improvement in many sense. Positives: Higher resolution. Better charging options with replaceable battery and magnetic charging. Improved battery life (I would say about 50-100%). It connects to both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi signal. What I’m not 100% happy about: The motion detection seem to be a little less responsive on the larger distance motions compared to the old one. One of my cameras keeps sending a vehicle alert when there’s no vehicle around (it probably confuses some feature as a car) not sure if this is the camera’s fault or software or app. I expected at least one magnetic charger cable to come with the 3 pack of cameras, but non was included, only 4 batteries. I’m overall happy with the upgrade.

    Purchased this gem about a week ago. It really reliably satisfied my desire to obtain a camera that solved the deficiencies of other cameras that I have tried out. The motion detection capabilities are absolutely superb; all it takes is to properly position the camera so that the desired detection area is within the bottom two thirds of the live-view frame, and also adjust the motion sensitivity setting. In addition, there is a "Motion Test" feature; when it is activated, you simply walk around the various area/positions that you desire to notified of when there is motion, and the camera's LED prominently flashes orange once motion is detected. Also, the user can reliably and almost invariably access "Live View" mode without any undue delay. It normally averages about 10 seconds at most for the display, I have a 100GB Wi-Fi setup, with an extender that is located approximately 9 meters away. Yes, the image is extremely sharp, bright, and crisp--even at night, with modest lighting; I don't use the "Spotlight" feature. By te way, night-time viewing does display in rather vibrant colors. The user can set the types of alerts to receive notifications concerning, i.e., "Smart Alerts." For example, the settings allow for Person, Motion, Sound, Vehicles, Animals, and more. I am only interested in Persons. As an aside, the camera does have the capability to automatically zoom in on and track a person. However, if the user activates that particular feature, then the 2k-video streaming/recording is automatically turned off and replaced with a somewhat lesser resolution. I never use the zoom-and-track feature. CON: It appears that the user cannot delete multiple feeds at a time, i.e., from the list of individual feeds. Instead, each feed must be individually deleted using a three or four step process. Why does doesn't Arlo support multiple deletions? WASTE OF TIME!!! If not for the lack of a feature to support multiple deletions, I would have given a five-star review. I have two of the following cameras: Nest, Blink, and Ring (doorbells); they all permit multiple deletions of feeds. I contacted customer support, and the agent confirmed that there have been complaints regarding this issue; he stated that Arlo is well aware of such feedback. I don't understand why Arlo dares to think that people ought to suffer to waste their time and energy on deletion tasks. Lastly, I warn that it may be a bit of a challenge locating some of the features using the app. I downloaded the User Manual. Largely, it is rather well put together, However, at times, it seemed as if the features were not located in same part of the app as explained, e.g., turning Spotlight off/on, or certain features related to motion detection or app alerts. Click on the "Person" icon on the Home page->On the resultant page, click "Home"-> "Smart Notifications. Compare the preceding instructions with the following; it's rather confusing: On the Home page, click the "Feed" button->Then, in the upper left of the screen, click on the three dots-> On the resultant "Feed Settings" page, click "Event Types" to enable/disable the future display of events that trigger/wake the camera, e.g., motion, person, vehicle, animal, package, temperature change, light change, smoke/CO alarm, etc. With the exception of "Motion," the other items on the list are the same as the listing in the previous paragraph, which concerns Smart Alerts. (Go figure.)

    Do yourself a favor and buy a Ring

    I would not recommend purchasing this product. While the camera quality itself is good and the night mode is excellent, the overall experience is very disappointing. The main issue is that the cameras take too long to go live, often requiring manual intervention. They also frequently fail when handling multiple interactions, especially if the battery is running low. Although the design is sleek and discreet, and the battery life is reasonably good, the functionality does not meet expectations. Do yourself a favor and buy a Ring Camera The mobile app is another weak point, falling short of what users would expect from a device in this category. In short, despite a few positive aspects, the frustrations far outweigh the benefits. For the amount of disappointment it causes, it is hard to justify recommending this product.

    I’m really impressed with this system. The video quality is excellent both during the day and at night, and the motion detection is very accurate. The installation was quick and simple, and the app makes it super easy to monitor everything from my phone. The battery life has been great so far, and I love the fact that I can receive notifications instantly when there’s movement. The design is clean and looks great anywhere you install it. Overall, it’s a reliable and high-quality product — totally worth it for peace of mind and home security. Highly recommended!

    One of the best camera I got so far from Arlo. I pair this to my old generation cameras and you can see the difference in video quality. Night vision is great. Battery holds charge for more than two weeks.

    So far, this system picks up the activity which occurs in front of the cameras. These cameras replaced Night Owl cameras and I must say that the Arlo system is much easier to use. Events can be brought up and looked at much easier than with Night Owl. The only negative is Arlo's customer service. A month of free monitoring comes with the system and then you have to either get a hub and recording device or else subscribe to Arlo's monitoring system. I had decided to go with Arlo's system but couldn't get the website to accept my payment information. I wanted to talk to someone at Arlo but no phone number for customer service is listed and there's no way to find one. I had to do an online chat and the results were not satisfactory. I'm still in the trial period, so when it ends I will try subscribing again.

    The Arlo 5 cameras are very nice quality. The picture quality is very nice and crisp. The battery performance is much better and The app is easy to use and much more organized. I feel very safe and protected with these new cameras. I especially enjoy the color night vision option.

    Great for peace of mind. These cameras have amazing quality and help me keep an eye on my property while I’m away. I’m thankful I don’t have to have a hub or anything, and it was an easy setup thanks to the Arlo app. The recognition features are also helpful to let me name cars and people to have more detailed notification. I wish the battery life was better since I’m sometimes away for months at a time, but they still hold up well. And the extra battery and charging station is a big plus. I wish some of the advanced features didn’t require a subscription but that’s not a huge issue. I’m paying for the annual plan anyways but do be aware that you can’t really use the recognition features, cloud storage, or defined motion zones without the subscription. Though you can use motion zones if you have AC power to the camera. Overall, they are great cameras and good quality, but I’m leaving off a star just for the somewhat shorter battery life and subscription requirement. They should offer an XL battery option similar to the Arlo Essential XL cameras.

    This is my second purchase of the Arlo Pro 5S system. After using it for over a year, I continue to be impressed by the quality and ease of use. They are a breeze to set up and the battery lasts about 6-8 months, which is great! The clarity of the video is fantastic, even in low light. The sowtware is simple to use, very easy to set up and always alerts when something passes within view. The only small issue is when there are very strong winds, but that is more the effect of my placing it on a gutter mount that may be too flimsy. I would choose Arlo over any of the other non-wired systems the price range.

    Purchased the cameras to replace several trail cameras around my house. Easy set-up and the work great. I have two in the back yard facing and one in my side yard. Picture quality both day and night is excellent. The Arlo app and software offer many setup options. I' going to puck up a forth camera and add it to the others. Strongly recommend the ARLO Pro 5 camera system

    The cameras were easy to install and setup for my father in law. He loves the quality and ease of use. He didn’t want to pay monthly to use it though. I explained it should work find without the Arlo secure software. We will see if that works.

    Overall, I'd say the security camera's are a good product. The video has good quality. The live view is pretty good. They were relativity easy to install. The batteries last a long time and are easy to exchange. The only issue I have is the service. It's hard getting ahold of the company. They raise your rates to often.

    It’s not perfect, but the Arlo system is very good! Clear audio and video, battery life is tracking at over 2 months. Easy charging and replacement.

    I recenlty upgraded my cameras to the newer Pro 5S series and really like the improvements. The cameras have great response to movement and take clear video images.Battery life is good, although I now have mine connected to solar chargers. Easy to install and the ARLO app works well.

    Daytime/ motion works well, night time vision could be better along with the motion sensor, there has several moments my dog has been outside and the camera never captured or picked up the motion.
