I'm not 100% happy with product. Settled for this instead of what I really wanted.

Being that this is my first video monitoring system not installed/monitored by an alarm company, I have been pleased with the ease of the set up, installation and application features. Once out of the box, it only took a plug in of the base station hard wired to the router/modem (doesn't seem to feature a wifi option but maybe I'm just not tech savvy enough), installation of the already fully charged batteries, downloading the application, registering as a user on line and positioning of the cameras and it was up and running. The application has many options to set up alarms, customize what the system does when it senses motion, automatically turns on night vision, records a certain amount of time, as well as many other features listed on their website. The clarity of the high definition wide angle cameras and sound is good but some of the footage appears a little grainy when the subject is twenty or more feet away. You can easily position the cameras very discretely because of their size. The rounded magnetic wall mounts worked great so you don't have to be an expert in electronics or installation by any means. I actually used heavy duty double sided tape to position them throughout the house so I didn't have to drill holes in the walls. One of the perks with this system is that it includes free limited cloud storage but is also upgradable. With their free service, we are able to record and store seven days of recordings without having to pay a monitoring company or worry about taking up data since it's stored on their cloud. One of the other great options is that you can always add more cameras. The only issue I've experienced so far is the lack of audio when playing some of the video but I believe it may be an issue with the app or the device I was viewing it on because it played fine on a different device. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for an affordable option to have video surveillance or even as a baby monitor.

Camera is awesome because it’s wireless but with that being said it only works when it wants to. It will go offline even though my WiFi is working. Then you have to reset it which is not ok when you are away hints the purpose of having the cameras. But when the camera does work they are descent

We had been looking for outdoor wireless cameras for a while. According to all of the reviews I read and watching the video on their website the Arlo Pro seemed like the perfect solution. It had great reviews. However, the video advertised is not at all what you get. We couldn't even make out the numbers on a license plate or my husbands face from 12 feet away. I asked the Arlo community for advice and received a lot of suggestions. I tried all of them, but, it didn't help. We returned the cameras.

This camera works goot. The only problem is every 6 month the batteries will no longer hold a charge. So you hope best buy will exchange them or you're stuck buying a expensive battery. This needed to be addressed . Have have gotten 6 batteries over the past 2 years!! What a pain!!!

Picture quality not that great. About a 10 second delay before they start recording so you miss some recording. My battery only lasted 3 weeks and would not charge - after an hour on the phone with support shipping new battery. I returned the cameras today because I foresee problems in the future with these.

First we were told the batteries would last 3-6 months. One battery was completely dead after 6 days and the others weren't going to make it to 1 month. The day time picture quality was great and the night time was terrible. This might work well on an indoor use but didn't work for me on an outdoor use.

So I was very excited to open the package and get Arlo set up. My first panic was there was no mention of Windows or how to set up without an Android, iXXX, or Google device. Luckily, I recently went to the dark side with an android tablet, which for the sake of ease, I grabbed and downloaded the Arlo App. With the App you don't need any of the instructions that come in the box. It guides you through account creation, base station set up, paring of the cameras and brings you to very nice HD video from said cameras with out so much as a pause in the process. My next worry was range. As my router is in the basement and I wanted one of my cameras outside in an area where I get spotty Wi-Fi at best. However, the signal between the camera and base station was surprisingly strong and even well outside the range of my router I was getting great picture and video. All the settings for alarms and notifications are easy to manage. I am considering getting another couple of cameras to add to the system. So, what about my Windows dilemma? There is mention of supported browsers so I sat down at my trusty PC and navigated to Arlo.com. There I clicked on "My Arlo" and was able to sign in. The interface was identical to the one on my tablet and I was again at piece with the world. This was not complete as I reached for my Windows Phone and tried the same trick. The mobile site had no provision to log in as one would on a PC. I know Windows Phone is not as popular as the other OSs on the market but its not like I have the only one. Yet again I am discriminated against because I want all my devices (save one) to be on the same platform. It is for this reason that I give 4 stars and hope that some developer out there takes pity on my and gives me an app in the Windows store.
