i look at Samsung smart cam and this one the smart cam uses an SD card where the arlo save the video on the internet so if thy take everything you still have the video of them where if thy take the smart cam you don't know who did it

I love this camera since it catches a lot of things I haven't even noticed going on in my house! The only downside with this camera is that it sometimes have bad quality footage on the live setting but other than that it works awesome!

This is the arlo cam to get. It doesn't rely on infrared the same as some of their other cams. Motion capture is really good, and seems to have very minimal lag. I've had it for a couple months now and am very happy!

I added this camera to my existing set up and was instantly pleased with it. Being able to live feed in and check on the house is a great option. Speakers on it are mediocre, but I don't use the two way audio enough to make it a complaint.

Captures sound to - since I placed near the fridge, picks up audio when ice maker turns on. So be aware when in arm status. There is a sec delay too. I love this for my long open kitchen and living room and entry way. I hear perfectly too.

We have a longer pathway that we mounted on the magnetic strip of the wall to see all entry, lv, kitchen. It does pick up sound of the heating unit coming on. You might want to be prepared for the amount of recordings and manage the library.

I use this for my one bedroom apartment. I keep the camera on the kitchen bar facing the door & it also sees my bedroom entry. Notifies me off any odd noises even when I'm not gone. Geofencing is very convenient.

We bought this to keep an eye on our dog when we are away for short periods of time. I love that it has 2-way sound so we can correct him if he is getting into something or barking. Would be great for a baby's room as well!

Purchased Arlo system for home and works great. Had to adjust cameras so they wouldn't pick up tree movement but once done they are great.

Microphone gets a lot of static noises. Also, be aware the camera will only record in 15 second clips and not continously. The camera will be triggered by movement and or noise only.

I have several of the inside/outside cameras and this is a nice addition to dedicated indoor monitoring. The higher resolution is nice and it works well in the app with the other cameras.

Got this to check in on elderly parent with dementia, who at this point is still able to live at home. It is a relief to be able to see that he is safe.

I needed a camera to watch my dogs while I am at work This work great and with 2 way voice I can even calm the dogs down if they get upset while I am away. I like the corded version with no batteries.

my only complaint is that I wish I could link it to my Arlo home so I could arm it with the rest of my cameras. I can arm it in the same app but it is just a separate step.

Grabbed this on sale. Since we already have arlo pro cameras, it was a no brainer. Love the 1080p, easy to navigate app, magnetic base. Works great.

I bought this for indoor security and as a baby monitor. The Good: The 1080p HD video was very clear and the camera has a nice wide-angle view which can be zoomed and still shows a clear picture. The night vision works very well and is still clear under very low lighting. It even comes with a free service to store recorded data up to seven days, which you can download if you need to, which can also be upgraded for a fee. You can monitor from any smartphone, tablet, computer that has an internet connection. The Bad: while monitoring from ANY device, there is a minimum of a 5 second delay (lag) between when something happens and when you see it on the monitoring device. This delay grows while monitoring. The video being monitored seems to sometimes go in slow motion, and never catches up to “real-time”. The delay got as bad as several minutes. During one test I had it pointing at the driveway and after my wife had parked the car in the garage, came into the house and sat on the couch next to me, we watched her pulling into the driveway – it was about 2.5 minutes after it actually happened. Note: I have very high speed internet and a ridiculous router. There is no internet speed problems here. This kind of delay problem was very consistent and was a deal breaker. If something is happening in my house that demands my attention, it demands it right now, not minutes after if actually happened! I wound up returning this item and going with a different brand – my second of this other brand with consistently less than 1 second lag.

This works after it's set up. But every time I turn it off and reconnect it I have reinstall everything. I have to delete the app on my phone and reinstall everything. It is a hassle. The pairing part takes a long time too, sometimes fails. It would be fine for people who leave this on permanently. I believe this is an issue with firmware updates.

I have two. One works great because it is close to my modem. The other one does not connect as well because it is too far away from modem. I need to move the modem because of where I want the cameras to be.

Easy to move around the house can check up on my dog when I’m at work and the security feature are just what I need and does not break the bank.

over priced. slow response. has been hacked. This is the opposite of home security.
