Very easy to setup and install. I already have another Arlo camera so I just had to add this to the account and it was streaming in seconds. Picture quality is good but I would like them to add a way to adjust the microphone sensitivity. My camera is in the basement and it sends me notifications about detecting sounds whenever the furnace comes on or if one of my heavy foot kids is stomping around upstairs early in the morning. Best part is that Arlo has free cloud storage for a week.

I love my camera. I love being able to leave my home and access my camera remotely to check on my place and my animals. The picture is perfect and the coverage I have is perfect. Easy set up and the app works like a charm. I do wish that I was able to use talk application more easily because when I try to communicate with someone it doesn't always work which is my only gripe.

The camera is great. I had problems setting it up on my droid....it would not recognize the scan bar because it was to small. I used a friend's iPhone and hooked up in 5 seconds.

This was my first security camera purchase. I was pleasantly surprised how well it performs and how easy it was to set up. The night vision works well and I like the fact that it comes with 7 hours of record time so no monthly fees unless I need more time in the future. The motion and sound sensors work great. I like that I get notices sent to my phone every time it detects motion or sound. There is about a 5 to 10 second delay between detection and notice. I also like the fact I can have up to 4 cameras. Definitely going to get another in the future.

I can't tell you how great this product is! I did lots of research and it is the best on the market. So many of the cameras don't give you real time. This does!!!! Picture is awesome and even has audio. This is the one to buy!!!! I bought 3!!

Love this camera and will buy the Arlo Pro 2 from bestbuy in the near future. Love the reward zone points and the products Best Buy sells. Netgear Arlo is the best series of cameras available for consumer purchase.

We have a couple of Arlo Q cameras in the house to keep an eye on our kids and cat. They work really well. The picture on my phone and laptop is incredibly clear and it has a wide angle of viewing. It picks up motion and sound and sends an immediate text message to my phone and an email so I can view what happened. The only negative is they can be overly sensitive and be set off by the sun casting shadows on the wall. When on sale for $99.00, they are a great deal.

The Q has been pretty solid. Seems to run a little warm. Overall, it's been nice to have and offers us some peace of mind. Video quality is pretty decent and motion detection works really well. With the entrance of so many bargain cams, however (e.g. Wyze, Blink, etc) there may be other options that work better for your needs.

i already have arlo cameras so adding this camera was a snap. This camera is comparable to other cameras (like nest) but as I already have other arlo cameras, i went with the Q.

I have 3 of these cameras now and they work great. The image quality is awesome, the audio isn't bad at all. The functionality of the app is pretty good, and seems to be expanding over time. Only complaints... sending audio to the camera is pretty delayed, making it not very useful. Also, the geofencing functionality isn't always perfect, but it is in beta and much of that could be related to the app more than the camera. I do like the cameras and would get more if I needed more coverage.

I like the camera and video quility. However, I was a little disappointed I had to upgrade the monitoring services due to the number of cameras on my account

The video image quality & sound are good - not great in comparison to other options. A great choice if you don't want to pay for a subscription to have access to stored videos. The geofencing option does not always work - there are regular Arlo mobile app updates that appear to negatively impact this functionality. Integrates well with Alexa smart home setup.

This camera is very good. Installation is quite simple. It works perfect so far. Clear videos recorded, very sensitive noise recorded. The speaker is perfect, very loud. Free storage on the cloud for 7 days is the best aspect for this camera. The only thing I don't like is that when I want to communicate through the camera, I have to press and hold mic icon on my phone, during that time, I could not hear the voice from the camera unless I release the mic icon. That's not very convenient.

I purchased three of these cameras. They work fantastic. They pick up noise and motion. You can change the settings on them to increase the quality of the video or the sensitivity. Research online before buying anything, but generally speaking, these cameras typically get good ratings. The monthly fee, if you are so inclined, is if you want to keep the videos longer, otherwise, I think they store them for 2 weeks.

The Arlo is a snap to set up and communicates excellently once you have completed. I’ve had other monitoring cameras but for my need Arlo was perfect and after the first month of use, it works great!

Very easy to set up with other alro camera system, app and base station. Like that is a stand-alone mode from my other camera. I'm just using it in my house so it's only armed when leaving the house.

Bought for my son room. Very good product. The App has to be installed carefully otherwise there will be too many notifications. It is a bit pricey too

Setup: Super easy! All setup and configurations are done with the mobile app. I only had an issue with the sync button. I was finally about to connect by rapidly pressing on the sync button. Features: The core feature of any security cameras is video recording. I believe software is what makes a security camera better than others. - Motion and Audio detection – you can also adjust the sensitivity of these two items. This is great because if you own a pet that makes a lot of noise. - Snapshot and recording – Once an event is trigger, you can setup what happen next. You can only choose one of the two. There is a third option if you want to do nothing with it. Recording can be set from 10 seconds to 120 seconds. - Alerts – you can set device notification and email alert if you want. - Modes – By default the camera is setup to be always arm (always recording). You can set it to be disarmed or on a scheduled (ie: work day, night time, and etc...) - Security Zone – This is the feature that ties everything together. You can set up an square/rectangle section of the camera to monitor for motion. This allows you to fine tune what you want to get alerted about, especially if it is a high traffic area. - Free 1GB cloud storage – All snapshots and recordings are stored in the cloud for free. You can pay for services to enable a continuous timeline. I didn’t feel like it is needed because the recording feature will capture a few seconds before and after motion has been detected. You are also able to save/download anything from the cloud if you need to save anything. - 2-way communication – I don’t use this feature and I personally will never use this. - 1080p video resolution – By default, it is 720p resolution and it is enough. In addition the camera has a fish eye effect so the field of view is much wider. Performance: The camera and the app is about 2-3 seconds slow. I was expecting something real-time for the camera. The app takes a while to connect to the camera and the cloud recording. Expectation: The camera did meet my expectation because this Arlo Q replaced my old D-link DCS930L. The features are much better while the D-link I had to use advanced networking setup in addition to finding software to accomplish the features you get from this product. Price-value: - Compared to other product on the market that doesn’t offer cloud storage, this is a better value because you pay the up front cost now instead of a monthly payment for the cloud service. - Compared to the wireless Arlo, the price value is not as attractive. I would recommend this product to friends and family. When I did recommend it, most people expressed interests in wireless models. To be fair, the one thing that is holding back wireless camera is power consumption if you plan to place this in a high traffic area. I received this product for free as part of the NETGEAR first look review program.

Read lots of reviews on various security systems. Decided on Arlo Q as a one camera starter. Easy to install and set-up on phone. Actually got a notification while we were gone, so it works.
