This did not have a great picture and it actually stopped working after a week

I returned the product, the image quality was pathetic. really bad experience.

Personally it makes a lot of sound when is on. I don’t like it at all you could hear the echo.

Setup - This was so easy to do. I already have the wireless Arlo system and this camera hooked right up to the current system within a couple of minutes. I just launched the app on my iPhone and followed the instructions. Features - This is where this camera shines. The picture quality is HD and very clear. The sound is great. I was in another room and said something that the camera picked up from a distance very clearly. There is little lag for the voice feature. Expectiations - The camera met my expectations and then some. I have been very impressed by the whole arlo family outdoor cameras. And now this indoor camera is going to be a great add on feature to the Arlo system. Price Value - For what you get I think this is a great addition to the already great Arlo system. Recommed - I would recommend this to my family and friends. I've already had 2 other family members purchase the Arlo camera system for outdoors and this will be a good addition for them. I received this camera for free from Netgear for my honest opinion on the features and set up of the camera.

I have some experience in setting up a camera network at work and let me tell you, Arlo is the way to go. The package design is quite nice and the green box is very Cupertino. From opening the box to seeing a live image on my phone took maybe five minutes. Once you download the app, you simply hold your phone in front of the camera (with QR code visable) and viola! You're done! A couple of things stood out to me as being excellent with this camera. The base of the camera is magnetic and that was quite a pleasant surprise when I was looking for a place to mount it, turns out I didn't have to use the supplied bracket or make any holes in walls. Also, the ability to share the camera feed with friends and relatives has turned out to be a great feature. The in-laws can quickly look in on the dance-party my 1-year old is throwing. I also liked that you can set the camera to alert you on motion or sound. BUT, the cool part is that you can "color-out" certain parts of the scene to motion (ie. clock with pendulum). Genius! There is a bit of lag when connecting to the device from outside networks but once the feed is going it is smooth. Being able to setup this camera and never once opening my laptop to do so was quite a pleasant experience. I did receive the camera as a part of the Netgear First Look Review program for free but I think the ease of use and the easy setup not to mention the spectacular features make this camera really well thought out. I'd definitely buy a couple more.

Didnt work very long a nd Arlo won’t replace or repair

Returned and replaced with Arlo Pro rechargeable. Better and complimentary to 4 camera Arlo Pro set.

I would not recommend this camera to anyone. It shut off to many times.

My first impression is that NETGEAR put a lot of time into the quality of the Camera itself. The finish is a muted white dense plastic "(soft to the touch)" with a steel pin supporting a 360 degree camera. The camera isn't 360 but you can position it where you like on the pin and it will remain there "solidly" there in any 360 degree position. The base allows you to screw it into a wall and the camera body slides into the base unit with a magnetic bottom holding it secure. Set up time took literally 2 minutes. I plugged it into my router using my Wi Fi password and using my Arlo App I was able to see 1080p within a couple of seconds. Like their other cameras (battery powered) the picture is definitely nice and clear. NETGEAR replaced their old ARLO interface with a much better one this go around. To be honest the old web ARLO site was cumbersome and hard to manage but the new web site is much improved. It found my new camera within a few seconds and added it to my system of battery powered cameras and we were up and running. I took some still picture shots, used the Audio feature to talk with my kids and tested various lighting conditions which turned out great. Remember folks, this is a powered camera so it goes in a location where you might want to watch something regularly like a baby or a baby sitter - for that purpose this Camera does the job perfectly. It has a small LED light at the bottom so people will know it's on when the see the camera. I rated the Arlo Q a 4 out of 5 because the Audio Feature has a slight delay, Not bad, maybe a second or less but if you want to have a conversation with someone you can still do with some degree of patience. It's acceptable for me. I just think that cell phones can connect easily with no delay so this Camera should produce similar results. Again though, if you want to use the Audio Feature it does work just fine. The alerts work really well as I can say I had about 100 or so on my email within the first day of operation. I turned the alerts off using the web App and it was extremely simple to find and change. I've tested NETGEAR products for them in the past and this was another participant program test for me under their First Review Program. I own a mini storage which has 13 cameras around the property so I'm used to using security cameras for business. This is pretty much perfect for home use or inside monitoring (not outside mini storage use). Overall I'm really impressed with the Arlo Q.

Does not record after 1 month. I wish I can get my money back.

This camera was easy to set up, app is easy to use, and the image quality is good. The included 7 days of rolling storage is much better than having to pay for a subscription. I had tried cheaper cameras (yi and zmodo) before I landed on this one and I have to say that the additional cost is worth it. The time I spent trying to get the others to work was not worth the low cost and with those you need to pay a subscription to view recordings.

Slowest camera. Terrible picture, returning this...

I had a Nestcam which is really useless you pay them a monthly cloud fee. Even then they only record continuous 24/7 and not only when motion is detected.which is what I wanted. Hope you are not limited on upload usuage by your Internet provider! I only wanted the camera to record when motion and/sound was detected which the Arlo Q does PERFECTLY and the cloud service is free. There is a limit of the free storage space but unless you are recording constant movement like pets, children this is no problem. However I only want the cameta for security purposes when not home so there will not be any ongoing recording. If movement/sound triggers recording, you get an instant message to your phone. You can view a live view of the area and/or view any recorded clips in the library at any time. You can download any video clip(s) to your phone, computer, devices etc for the authorities and/or to post to social media etc. Another great feature is geofencing which automatically puts the camera(s) in armed mode as soon as you leave your property and disarms it when you return. You can turn this feature on/off whether you like it or not. Will definately purchase additional cameras in the near future!

The Arlo Q is a great option when considering a video system for your home security. Additionally, it can be used for other purposes. I had an issue with my puppy being lonely once I started my new job. In turn he because destructive. I have used the Arlo Q as a monitoring device that will allow me to let my puppy hear my voice when I see he is being destructive, and it has minimized the number of incidents since I started this tactic. The two-way audio is also useful for using the Arlo Q as a baby monitor, since it also has night vision. The free cloud based storage option is also a nice feature for this purpose, as you will be able to store video for later retrieval. I have been using Arlo for a while. It has been very easy to setup and works great. I got an Arlo Q system for free for testing. First, I like the packaging. It is in a neat small package, and I think they got some idea from Apple. Second, installation is simple and straight forward. I am delighted to find out that it does NOT need a base station. This is different from Arlo, which needs a base station to work. All my ports in my router have been used and I was worried how to set this up before starting do this. I am glad I don't have that problem. Third, I am happily surprised that the based of the camera is actually magnetic. I am able to find some metal area in my wall which I can attach the camera without a single nail to the wall. After setting it up, I am getting almost an promotional email everyday. I think it is kind of annoying and unsubscribe it from it. I hope the email is not so aggressive, but the unsubscribe process is painless.

I received the Arlo Q free as part of the First Look Review Program and it was exactly what I need for my small business. I do not have time for complicated systems. The Arlo Q took about 3 minutes to set up and it is super easy to view from my cellphone. I will be purchasing several more for my warehouse space and will be adding the cloud storage.
