    Wifi range is not the best. Hard to extend the range due to the proprietary base. Good quality image and so far good quality product.

    Camara is great batteries hold well it’s the subscription you have to pay to do anything but just live feed. It you want it to record videos for security then you have to pay to have stored to there cloud. Would recommend if you want to pay a steep fee yearly

    Has wide view and does what I intended it's to do but this is a Manuel system meaning you have too catch them in the act or it just records what happens. I would rather have an alert voice warning shout out if someone was in the yard. Try and detour them

      Thanks for your review. The Arlo Ultra 2 Cameras will send notifications via the Arlo Secure App every time motion is detected. The Arlo Ultra 2 Camera has a mic/speaker available for 2-way communication.

    After 8 years of mostly positive experiences with Arlo (with Android phone), I bought this for my aunt and uncle. Setting it up on her iPhone was SO different from my app. I was very frustrated it took much longer than planned. I was also unable to make custom modes. The interface seemed more simplistic. I learned later that this interface will be thrust upon all users and I will soon lose my custom modes. This will make the product almost unusable for me. I'm really annoyed they are making such a drastic change and they do not care what existing customers think. On the other hand, if your needs are very simple, it might work well for you. BE WARNED! How it works when you buy it might not be how it works in the future.

    These Arlo 4K Cameras are ok. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes the screen on my phone is just “green” with no picture. The customer service is pretty much useless. You can’t just call someone, you have to “chat” with a computer or worse, someone internationally who you cannot understand and can’t understand you. It can be frustrating. I wish I had chosen Ring. And don’t get me started on my Arlo Doorbell that still after two weeks and a replacement, still does not work.

    Base station went off line after changing network. Won’t reconnect and the app doesn’t even have a simple “change network” option. Garbage product.

    So far i am impressed with the video quality. I like its ability to integrate into my home kit with apple. I think I may lose some features once the free trial is over. I think it will leave enough features for me to feel more secure into the future

    Erratic and Inconsistent

    I waited years to finally have access to internet service that was good enough to handle high-end video cameras. I had been using 3 old Nest cameras and 3 newer Arlo cameras years prior to the internet upgrade. The "system" functioned effectively, even though there were glitches - usually ISP related. My new Ultra cameras (and 3 Arlo Essential 2nd gen 2K cameras) were put into service in December of 2023. The Nest cameras were retired and removed. My internet service is 1.2 G with a fiber/copper connection. Upload speeds are generally 45 Mbps with every device in operation. My new security "system" that contains only Arlo devices has been an enormous disappointment. The Ultras are all on CVR subscriptions. A look at the CVR feed shows disruptions on a continual basis. I have driven a pick-up truck out of my garage, backed onto the street, and traveled out of the neighborhood and the camera directly above that garage door has not recorded the event. Same camera did manage to record the vehicle coming towards my house after I passed it two houses away. Yesterday, two delivery vehicles pulled into our driveway several hours apart. The same inconsistent garage Ultra camera recorded the one delivery (a passenger SUV) and totally failed to record the large FedEX box truck that backed into the driveway. It did manage to record a 2 second video of that truck as it approached on the street. Then, when the driver exited the vehicle and carried the package to our front door, the Essential 2K camera above that door (about 30 feet from the driveway) never recorded the delivery. After my previous excellent experiences with my older Arlo Essential cameras, I was totally convinced that this was the brand I wanted once the internet service was improved. I am thinking it was a serious mistake.

    I like the cameras, but I lost the security key. I need the key to take the camera off so I can replace the battery.

    The cameras provide us with a great visual of everything so I feel our home is safe even when we are not there. Having Best Buy install them is the way to go. They are very professional. One suggestion is to buy extra batteries and have them ready for the cameras that have a lot of activity. Other than that we are very happy with the results.

    The cameras are very clear. Good zoom feature. I'd like them to be a little more real time. Seems to be about a 10 second delay with the wifi but that might just be my particular wifi. The light is decent but will not look like daylight. I would suggest separate motion detector lights with them if you want a good clear night picture. Very easy to watch on the app.
