Thee person detected can be half way down the street before the microphone will engage. Quality of picture is great, but I should have gotten a wired camera for 4k pictures.

Great camera for indoor or warmer outdoor climates

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was disappointed to learn that these camera batteries do not charge below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. So, even if you purchase the 25' outdoor charging cable, the air temperature outside must be above freezing to charge these cams. They will operate down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit but you'd have to take it down and bring it inside to charge it in a room above freezing. That's just not going to work for me. Although I love the Arlo product, this deficiency means I can't install these cameras in my home in Northern Wisconsin which is typically below freezing more than 30% of the year. Arlo should work on an add-on AC-based power source accessory to replace the battery especially to solve the issue of customers in typically cold-weather climates.

I do not subscribe to monthly services they offer, only use our iphones for alerts and checking recordings
