Great product and amazing price getting this on sale!

We bought these for our home as we live in the country and absolutely love them! It is so neat that they can even let you know if the motion was a vehicle, person, or animal. We will be buying more!

I bought a previous version of Arlo and they gave me a free week of recording in the cloud. They took that away with this set. So one of the main features I bought this for is no longer available. They also make it just difficult enough to watch the videos on your sd card to persuade you to buy the subscription. The cameras do work and do record, Arlo just designs their use to get you to buy their subscription that isn’t cost effective.

I had the Arlo Pro 2’s and upgraded to these when they had the Christmas sale going. The Pro 2’s you never had to pay for storage unless you wanted longer than 7 day video review and anyone you granted access to in the app was able to view all videos and live streams. The Ultra 2’s worked great while we had the Arlo Secure trial for 3 months. Once the trial goes away your only option to store any kind of video is adding a microSD card to the base or paying the $9.99 or more per month to store video. If you plan to have more than one person on the account to view the videos that also goes away unless you have Arlo Secure plan. The color night vision has also been terrible since the trial went away. I invested in getting the solar chargers for all 3 of my cameras (which has actually been one of the better investments because I haven’t had to swap a battery yet) but all of the changes that aren’t very clear up front make me not want to stick with this company after this.

New line is good. Anything older is phased out. Still network issues with google. Support is terrible.

Easy to use and set up, the Arlo is an excellent fully wireless camera system. Setup is a breeze. Simply install the app on your phone or tablet, plug the Arlo base station into your router, and open the app. Then, add your cameras one at a time. That’s pretty much it. Free from wires, mounting the cameras is a breeze. Attach the magnetic mount or screw-on security mount where you want them, and you’re done. Recharging is simpler with the magnetic mount, and while it is possible for someone to use a long stick or similar to knock it down, it would require a pretty good whack, as the magnets are strong. Images are crystal clear, making individual features and license plate numbers simple to make out (assuming, of course, that your camera is reasonably close to the subject). The floodlight option really lights up the area, and combined with full color night vision imaging, gives you clear images 24 hours a day. The image area is wide, allowing you to capture a large field of view with a single camera. Image detection is excellent, and sets off with a reasonable activity level. Battery life is advertised at up to six months. While I’ve not owned this camera system long enough to judge this, it does seem that they last longer than my previous generation cameras. This system is not without some downside, however. The mounts I mentioned above come packaged as one of each type in the box, and if you decide you prefer, say, two magnetic mounts, that will cost an extra $40. (To be fair, when I complained about this, customer service immediately sent me a new magnetic mount for free.) While the motion detection works well, if you want to select a specific zone, that will cost more, as you need a monthly cloud subscription. So, if the wide camera view includes tree leaves that set it off whenever the wind blows, you need to move the camera, get the subscription, or be prepared to sift through a lot of false alarms. If you want to keep images longer than the local hub can store, you also need the cloud subscription – and it costs more to keep 4K images than 2K images. While cloud storage isn’t free, it is cheap, and the prices seem a bit high for what you get. Overall, this is an excellent camera system with easy setup, easy use, and great images. I highly recommend.

Good viewability. The website is useful. I am alerted when someone is in my vacation home.

So far, so good. We had Jason from the Geek Squad install them. He is very nice and knows his product. Jason wanted to make sure all the camera’s we're up and running. I give Jason 5 star for his patience.

Awesome security set on sale for awesome price. Totally recommend.

Don't waste your money. Batteries don't last. Even with the solar panels added for assistance. There is so much of a delay that breakins arent caught in time.

Don't buy. Cameras go out of sync often and are impossible to factory reset. Notifications and recording are not great. Quality of video is good. Not worth all the issues.

Super easy to set up. This was bought to stick under a vacation rental on the coast so time will tell how well it holds up to coastal conditions.

When the Motion follows an Animal or person it picks up, sometimes it doesn’t move quite with it.

Batteries died in 2 weeks, wanted cameras to keep an eye on cars in driveway and on street. Only shows 10 feet from house, picks up the neighborhood cats and us leaving the house thats all.

Love these so much I have one covering every angle of our yard. The quality of resolution, management of cameras online and via mobile is quite impressive, user friendly and featureful. I Love how their device manager apps provides one centralized place for all cameras, feeds and archives. Truly impressed by these and functionality. Very expensive, but worth it. Will be getting a few more for inside areas of security concern. Highly recommended.
