Good security camera. Arlos is number one in wireless security camera monitoring. Pack comes with hub, cameras and required screws/mounts and manual. Setup is very easy. Picture and Video quality is so good, i think better than any other Arlos products. Night vision works well but i think in night vision clarity little dull compared to other. 2 way talk works so well, we can clearly hear if someone talks near to camera like even 10-15ft. which is nice. Local recording possible thanks for Arlos for this. Cloud recording also available but it is free only for 1 month and you need to take plan. Good Camera i will recommend to my friend and family. Cons: 1) Price. I feel It is pricey compared to others.

ive owned Arlo cameras before so I knew what to expect, but I didnt know how greatly improved the video quality would be on these units..wow, incredible clarity, nice color even in the dark at night, and the only minor complaints were that they only give your ONE charging cable, for 2 cameras, and only ONE magnetic mount, which I needed 2. Also, even though you get 3 months of free cloud storage, the fees they charge after that are bothersome to many people. Either way, the cameras provide great quality video, the batteries last longer than the older Arlo's did, now hopefully, they do something about not giving you as many accessories as you would expect at this price, and that cloud storage pricing has got to come down! If those things dont bother you, then these are the cameras for you!

Good cameras but pay to play.

My wife bought this product just over a year ago to supplement our older ARLO cameras. For the most part the cameras system works good. The battery life depends on how often they get avtivated to record. All three ofnmine usually last a month. The main problem with the system is with ARLO itself. The base has the ability to record locally and use ARLO under a paid plan. The paid plans keep going up in price. When we first got the system the plan was around $6. It went up to $12 and now $19 a month. With the plan you'll get your notifications faster and quicker access to your videos. If you dont use the plan, youll get notifications about 30 mins late and its very hard to access the recording if it even recorded at all. So its an expensive system and then you have to pay to play to use it. This will be my last ARLO system unless they drop their prices to a manageable price.

The Arlo Ultra 2 is an excellent camera system. It is super easy to set up with the app and the picture quality is great. I used the original Arlo camera system and they have come a long way with both the app and the hardware. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to swap the battery out. You don’t have to remove the camera and forget with anything. Just push the release button and the cover slides off. There are plenty of features within the app so make sure to take some time check everything out. This is an awesome camera system for anyone looking to add some extra security to your home.

I haven’t owned this system for 45 days. I’ve made over 25 calls to support with very little to no help. The finally sent out a new hub. At first the wanted me to pay shipping. The camera has about a 20 delay on the mobile app feed. One camera is less than 10 feet from the modem. 2. Motion detection problems: No matter how its set it will detect past your set zones. 3. Battery life: You’re told the battery last up to 3 months. My cameras go dead within 2 weeks. 4. For whatever reason, the cameras like to drop their connection to WiFi, thus making them useless because they cannot communicate when they can't find their signal. 5. Arlo’s warranty department is a joke it’s all handled in India. This company has no interest in retaining you as a customer. I have spent hours chatting with at least 10 different support agents asking me to complete the same troubleshooting steps that always result in the same outcomes and then to wait for it to get better. After months of effort finally Arlo was willing to send a new Hub, but only if I pay to send them their defective product back to them. They finally agreed to pay to send the new unit out. I have always been a fan of Arlo products. They make devices so simple and easy without so much frills and without making me commit to a certain ecosystem or pricing scheme. It can stand alone by itself and it works seamlessly with other brands. This Ultra 2 Spotlight camera just easily adds to a current Arlo system or another alarm set up. From unboxing, I did not even have to read the instructions. Okay, granted I am a little better at understanding tech, however, the way the battery, for example, slides in, there is no way you can put it in backwards. The clicks and cues and very intuitive for a regular user-- maybe even grandma if I can ever get her to unbox one. Even the charging is magnetic so it will not stick in the wrong way. The backwards compatibility is great. Use it with other Arlo cameras, accessories or older hubs. The software Arlo has makes it easy to integrate. Even the mounting options are easy as well. The older mounting options are not any different which makes me feel secure that I will have these products and system supported / continued for a long time. Most importantly, the camera itself is great. The camera is WIDE-- as in really wide. The HIGH QUALITY helps a lot because you can actually look at details in the captures even when you have a far view. This only means that the camera is capturing more information-- more space with more detail. The camera is also fast-- my integrations with other systems call up the videos fast enough without the long wait, making it actually useful vs. losing patience and having to run to the door to find out who just rang the bell. The microphone is clear and it has pretty good feedback so two-way communication is easy wherever you place it. Lastly, the spotlight is great. It is pretty strong for it to capture clear colored videos in the dark but it is not annoyingly bright, if you know what I mean. Plus, the battery is rechargeable. So no worries about draining the batteries! This Arlo Ultra camera has so many features but are essential-- not too much frills to complicate my life and has the right bells that my household needs. I am glad this camera is geting the right mix of features and simplicity. Get one and you will know what I mean!!

I had high expectations on the Arlo but it is a terrible product. If your camera covers any areas with trees or plants, it will activate when the wind moves the trees or the shadows. I was getting several false alerts every day. To compound matters, you will end up subscribing for online storage as the local storage is broken. I cannot access the captured video files through the Arlo system. You have to detach the USB device and connect it to your PC to access the videos. This is a known issue and has not been fixed for a couple of years. Search "videos stored on Arlo smarthub are not available" to see the complaints. Some users have said they have to uninstall and completely reinstall the whole system to get it to work but it fails again after a few weeks. This is totally unacceptable. I discarded the Arlo and went with Simplisafe. It is a far better security system although it is a passive system. It only alerts you after someone breaks into the home.

If I could give this product a zero I would. Once my old Arlo stopped working a few months ago, I researched all security camaras available. I wanted a system that didn't require a subscription, like my original Arlo. I read everything about the Arlo Ultra 2 and everything I read stated that a subscription wasn't required. And you would still be able to view the motion detection videos. So I bought it. It worked well and I was happy. After a couple of months, I was required to update the app. Once I did that, I wasn't able to see the motion detection videos. Going to their website, the information had changed. Now they stated to see the 'feed', a subscription was required. Very disappointed in Arlo. I have wasted my money.

I purchased 4 Ultra 2 cameras directly from Arlo. I wish I took the bad reviews more seriously. I can't overstate how frustrated I am with the system and Arlo support. The entire system was bricked a week after installing. After getting it back online with help from forums (not Arlo) the batteries are dying in days instead of multiple months as promised - even with 5 minutes recording time per day the batteries die in less than a week. Arlo support just recommends random fixes like swapping batteries and resetting cameras and when this doesn't work tries to blame WIFI interference but refuses to provide any logging or proof. A different tech answers each day and they just repeat their suggestions without fixing anything. Now we cannot go on vacation without hard wiring the cameras I suppose. It's too late to return them - don't make the same mistake I did.

I recently purchased the 4 camera pack. I've owned Arlo cameras for a few years and they used to provide free cloud storage. NOT ANYMORE!! Nowhere did it say on the packaging that you cant save your video unless you subscribe to the service. And these new camera batteries are awful. They drain constantly and always need to be recharged. The earlier versions of these cameras would go for months without a charge. Please stay away! I have no idea how they have so many positive reviews. They ruined this product.

I sincerely regret purchasing Arlo cameras for my home security. Firstly, they have serious connectivity issues despite having over 500mbps internet speed at the property location. They are glitchy at best. The cameras frequently show colorful streaks at random then they later reset to their normal, fuzzy picture. There is no way these are 4k quality. In order to get continuous recording you must plug these into an outlet with a CORD ( cannot be used wirelessly) and pay an additional fee on top of the subscription fee you must already pay just to use the cameras. You will be nickel and dimed with Arlo and you will STILL not get what you pay for. If you are purchasing these because of the 4k picture quality and wireless ability, you will likely be disappointed. They miss everything before and after motion happens and only show you a small clip. They are essentially useless and I absolutely DO NOT recommend them!

What Onzee said on his rating. Plus an issue with one of the batteries. I fully charged and replaced it on one of the cameras. It worked fine for a day and the following day the same camera prompted me that the battery was depleted and needed to be replaced. The 6 months battery life supposedly lasts only that long on the lowest resolution mode. Didnt get a chance to find out exactly how long the battery really lasts on either resolution mode. Removed and returned 3 camera system.

Invested close to $1,000 overall in these pieces of junk. My bad. Initially OK, then battery life goes down the tubes. Base station fails to boot. System CONSTANTLY goes down, and NO notifications to you. Expect security to be reliable? Not Arlo. You only find out the system is "offline" when you have someone come to your door and you have no camera notification. Try to check the camera and then see the black screen notice that "Arlo is offline". HUH? ZERO confidence, and if you travel or work a lot, I would not expect your home to be secure, as well as getting Arlo back ONLINE requires you to be at the camera or base station, Buy something else, this Ultra series is junk
