    Directions are not straight forward and with on board Micro SD card you would think they would make it easy to recall from memory. I would look at other products if you want onsite recording without paying for monthly subscription.

    Pricey up front cost, useless without subscription

    The camera is satisfactory at best. The alerts are nice, but by the time you get logged in and the video pulls up, the subject has already sold the stolen goods across town. The video quality is ok, but unless the thief is a few feet away and looking at the camera, you will not be identifying anyone off the footage. And what a racket Arlo has going! Without a pricey subscription, the camera is only useful if you are logged in and watching it 24/7. I have buyers remorse, and would not recommend unless you plan on the subscription.

    Terrible Camera System

    They change their subscription fees and features when ever they want and make you pay more per month. When your free year trial expires in order to get 4K to an sd card and picture notifications the price has gone up to $15 a month now. Constant green lines and pink screens on the videos from the cameras. Do not go with arlo.

    The worst you could ever buy, batteries didn’t last long, charger stopped working, batteries stopped working, image wasn’t that great considering they are 2k. I ended up buying ring cameras.

    Cameras don't last

    Avoid Arlo cameras. I bought 4 cameras 4 years ago, 3 of them stopped working after 2 years. And their subscription is more expensive than their competitors.

    STAY AWAY FROM ALL NETGEAR PRODUCTS!

    Purchased an Arlo HD Security System Camera System in 2017 for almost $700 and the smart hub base station died. Tried to replace it and Best Buy was no help. Contacted Netgear 4 different times and all the Pilipino phone answer people could do was read off their computer checklist. Totally worthless! Do not buy anything Netgear has to sell! They do not have any American Customer Service and their foreign customer service is inept. Can not buy replacement parts either. DO NOT BUY NETGEAR!

    Stopped working in 4 months. No support.

    I bought it 4 months ago. All the cameras stopped functioning. The support is real bad news. There is no contact number. The chat option is horrible. All the money I have spent is just down the drain now. Arlo won't help in any way. Stay away from this!!

    A lot of defective cameras out of market and issue going on with them , but arlo support team not going to replays with new one, but going to offer you % 30 discounts, but you pay 100% They rob you with expensive camera .

    Avoid arlo!

    Since March 2021, I spent well over 20 hours with arlo customer support to fix a camera system that is not functioning as advertised. arlo customer support consists of a person reading from a checklist. None of the 'fixes' on the checklist actually correct the problem. I am then told that the problem will be escalated. The end. Apparently the case number is closed. I tried again. Same thing. Almost five months later and the problem is not resolved. I asked for a refund. They refused. Who does that these days? Every other reputable company stands behind their product, except arlo. DO NOT BUY ARLO PRODUCTS! Take a look at the comments on their Facebook page to see that mine is not a unique situation. I am beyond frustrated and feel it is my responsibility to warn others.

    Arlo just bricked all my old cameras by requiring a subscription to even view them. These were sold with the agreement that it was free. DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY! DONT BUY THIS!!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!

    Can't remember a single tech item I've bought in the last 20 years that has been more disappointing. Fails at the most basic level. At this point, I just view them as fake cameras that serve to deter criminals who don't realize homes with this brand should be targeted for whatever nefarious task they're attempting. Assuming you're thinking of buying an Arlo camera to use it as a functioning camera and not just something to make it look like you have cameras for security then find another brand. I've now had mine for a couple months and they lose their connection to the base station frequently. Worse, when you go to look at a recording from earlier, you discover that one of the cameras hasn't been recording in days. The solution according to numerous discussions with tech support, is to go get the camera and remove it from your system and then reconnect it to the base station. Leaving out how annoying this is, you don't know it wasn't recording until after the fact, so it's basic function is worthless. In live mode, they constantly lose the stream and have to be refreshed so worthless there also. Arlo Pro 2 that I own are totally worthless for "Night Vision". You can stand on a ladder 3 feet from the camera and not recognize yourself at night. Fortunately, people out breaking into cars, etc. late at night aren't the brightest people in the world. With a little research, they would learn to identify the uniques shape of Arlo cameras and realize it was open season on any house that has them. If I was a thief, I'd specifically seek out homes with Arlo cameras to steal from since people who own them, thinking they have some protection, are likely to let their guard down compared to someone who knows they have none. I bought mine on sale so only wasted a couple hundred bucks and will just throw them out rather than foisting them off on some unsuspecting person on Ebay or at Goodwill. Save yourself some aggravation and some money and buy anything but Arlo cameras.

    If ur not paying subscription than u will not be able to pull up any recordings . Called customer service after 1 hour on hold they hung up on me i called back than they told me i used up my 1 time customer care service . Unbelievable

    Dont waste your money

    Not a good product camera is not good will send u a alert if the wind blows but not if some one walks on your property picture sucks and if you dont pay a subscription you wont receive anything there is way better products for less i would stay away from this on!

    Horrible customer service

    Worthless customer service. The cameras constantly drop offline and it’s a nightmare to get them to pair again. The result, two smashed cameras. If I would have known how inconsistent these cameras were, I would have paid a Security company to install a direct wire system. These work for a little while, but then they quit. If the power flickers or the internet goes down, the cameras or base station doesn’t automatically connect when it comes back on. Therefore, you have to go around manually re-pairing all of your cameras. So if you’re out of town, your cameras are off until you get back to set them back up. Total pain in the butt.

    Arlo cameras and hub

    Do buy this system ,DOSENT WORK AT ALL! The hub and the cameras goes offline all the time!to get it back online called CS which is a waist of time,all agent tell you to do diferent thing and no solution after all, CS dosent know what they are doing! I WILL NOT RECOMEND THIS SYSTEM!

    Switched to eufy no fee
