Customers are saying

Customers value the excellent 4K video quality, long battery life, and effective night vision of the Ultra 3-Camera system. They also appreciate the ease of setup and intuitive controls, along with the wide field of view and spotlight features. However, some users experienced issues with motion detection sensitivity and occasional connectivity problems. A few customers also noted that the siren and signal strength could be improved.

The cameras only detect motion up to about 20 feet. The Google Outdoor Nest IQ is much better.

    Not Recomended

Pros: User interfaces are good. Installation is easy. Wireless range is good. Cons: Not compatible with PC or Mac. Only mobile devices are supported. No local storage options. Online use through PC requires Adobe Flash which most browsers actively block because it is a known security risk and is being deprecated. Access to full features requires recurring subscription fees.

Upgraded from the Arlo pro 2 to this. What I like is I can charge them without taking them down. I bought the 25ft length magnetic cord to do it

The cameras are fantastic. Really clear picture and if you pay for the monthly subscription, the extras they add in the app are totally worth it.

doesn't capture full movement of person. Also, definition of person's face is not distinguishable.

    Easy setup, but...

So this was an easy setup, and it works good. But it seems the connections was dropping a lot during setup, and the hub kept going offline. But now..it seems to be good. I don't know if anyone else had this issue, but it cleared itself up after a little while. The hardware is good on the camera, but the hub feels like cheap plastic compared to my other setups like this. The camera has the worlds strongest magnet, really it has to be. This things is solid...and will not move where-ever you put it. I don't know about battery life yet, so maybe I'll update or add to this post once I get a little more time with it. Some people are confused about the 4k streaming, but it clearly states you need to ad an SD Card to the hub, and then you will be good. Follow the instructions, and you will be golden. This is a nice camera, and it look really clear. Low light, is good..and you can also turn on a flashlight with the app. It is really bright too. Bottom line, price is what sets a lot of people back, and that is my only reasoning for 4 stars. It could be a little bit less on the model with just one camera.

Day time video is superb, night time is ok if subject is close to the light source. Couple it with a motion activated flood light and your golden.

I regret this purchase. At the time of purchase, it was not clear that the only way to view recorded videos in real time was to pay for the monthly cloud subscription. If I would have known that, I would have purchased a different camera system. This realization would have been easier to swallow if the cameras worked without issue. They regularly give an error message stating that AC power has been disconnected and the Activity Zones are disabled - they are wireless cameras and only need to be connected to AC power when charging! They also send notifications via my phone to indicate there is movement outside one of the cameras, but when I try to access the camera to see live footage, I get an error message saying the camera is disconnected. I have spent hours with tech support without resolution. For the price of these cameras, I would have expected a more reliable system with helpful tech support.

I purchased this system based on not having to drill holes in my walls to run wiring in order to utilize the cameras. For the first 6 months the cameras worked but one has developed a loud static sound whenever its active or recording, making it impossible to hear any audio over the hissing. I reached out to Arlo and after two hours of troubleshooting the rep assured me that a replacement would be shipped and received within a week, along with packaging to return the defective one. Several weeks have gone by with no replacement camera received, no confirmation email sent and for the past two days I have not been able to reach any reps at Arlo. For this reason, along with other negative reviews I have been reading relating to the failure of their cameras and poor customer service I can not in good faith give them a good review nor recommend this product.

1 camera was defective out of the box. 9 months later the base station died. In the case of the camera it took 4 Customer Support calls with long wait times spanning over 2 weeks to get it replaced. I have been working on getting the base station replaced for 2 weeks now. One faces about a 30 min wait for each customer support call/chat and they will lie to you, telling you that they will follow up on your replacement. The truth is that they will usually do nothing for you after they hang up and you have to call back multiple times for each issue. It's as if each person does NOT want to be the one who issues an RMA. It's shady business practices at best. I would avoid buying this product (I wish I had).
