Customers are saying

Customers value the excellent 4K video quality, long battery life, and effective night vision of the Ultra 3-Camera system. They also appreciate the ease of setup and intuitive controls, along with the wide field of view and spotlight features. However, some users experienced issues with motion detection sensitivity and occasional connectivity problems. A few customers also noted that the siren and signal strength could be improved.

I went with the Arlo Untra+ instead of the Arlo Pro 3 combo pack from Costco. The Ultra + only came with 1 HUB and 2 cameras. The Costco combo Pro3 was 399 for 1 HUB and 4 Cameras... I wanted the 4K video quality... but I got 720ish maybe 1080 on them... the footage is grainy and not even close to 4K. I signed up for the $15 Arlo gold plan and to be honest...They are a great product but now I regret not going for the Costco Combo and Getting the 2 extra cams.

this is actually our second set of Arlo ultra cameras since we loved the first set so much. Make sure you ask to activate your free year prior to setting the whole system up or you will have to take it back down and restart. The picture is clear and the sound is really good unless it's super windy outside. The one con is having to pay for a subscription and recording service.

I felt like I wasted $1000 on this system. Worked for a few days then I noticed some missed motion detection on my cameras. I bought this for security but its obsolete if it works intermittently. I have 3 ultra cameras pointed on my driveway. They all worked for the first 5days after installation. I got home 3 days ago and only 1 out of 3 detected my car. I did not change any settings, its armed 24/7. I opened a ticket with Arlo and they tried to blame it on my internet connection or wifi(lol I got fios and wifi extenders). My camera signals are all 'strong'. It's your firmware Arlo fix those bugs! I'm not restarting my hub every time I catch your product not working.

I upgraded from the Pro set. I was excited to see 4K clarity, because the Pro just doesn’t deliver. Not to bust your bubble, but the Ultra is disappointing. The daytime video is nice, and the nighttime color video is an added plus. However, the nighttime clarity leaves MUCH to be desired. Also, there is a significant delay in time from the alert notice to being able to see what’s happening. Is it worth $1000? In my opinion no. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

Cameras don't work in cold weather. Indoor cameras will not detect outdoor motion through glass windows. Base station and therefore camera function and viewing go offline if the internet drops, even though your wifi network continues to function normally. Arlo claims user support, but its almost impossible to interact with a support person. You are referred to the user community instead, which makes it difficult to get your specific issue addressed, and often generates responses that are just guesses about a possible resolution.

I was told by the Best Buy sales person that the battery should last up to 6 months. I get at most 10-14 days on some of them. One battery died within 8 days. I have to pay someone to climb up and bring 6 cameras down so I can charge them and then pay again to reattach them. Very frustrated ny the mis-information I received. I want to return them but my wife likes them. I now have to spend almost $500.00 for the solar battery chargers. Arlo does not offer any discounts on these charges as well. I almost feel that I being forced to buy the panels. I have to call Arlo and get some honest information about having these on Long Island, NY weather..cloudy or rainy days etc.

They are awesome. The zoom and tracking is not great. But is suffice for my use. It basically just zooms in on the 180 video frame. As it zooms in it loses quality. The battery drains quickly so I recommend either buying extra batteries to change out or the solar chargers that I purchased. I would like to add more cameras but they are a bit pricey.

These cameras are a little pricey but are worth the extra money. They are simple to understand and easy to install. The App is well thought out and easy to understand. The picture quality is excellent. The battery life is acceptable and I have bought solar chargers for some of the cameras in high usage areas. I am completely satisfied with these cameras.
