Great Camera With Local Storage Option

This is a great camera with MicroSD Local Storage option in the base. I have the Arlo Pro 2 as well and the Ultra is superior in several ways. Activity zones in the Ultra are not limited to rectangles and both sound and video are Noticeably better. Also, the charge cable is magnetic instead of micro USB.

I really dont get what people complain about, it does everything advertised. i just switched from an arlo pro 2 and love the insane wide angle i get. Where i had 3 cameras now i have 1. Its insane how good this is. Only problem i ever have is, app glitches sometimes but so does every app after an ios update.

Got this to have no wires and work out great. Super easy to setup and even with one camera not functioning correct the Arlo replaced the camera and all is good. Great to keep a eye on the kids at home while at work

    Decent Camera System

The cameras have worked pretty well. But, it's annoying that there is lag in getting live video when I'm physically at my house. What is funny is how HomeKit shows video almost instantly for the same camera. My guess is that for Homekit the video stream direct and without goes through cloud or the local hub is slow. Also, in 4K mode, it does not feel like 4K. It just says 4K. But, picture quality looks the same as when it's not doing 4K. And, this system needs better bandwidth upload control. Other cameras, allow you to limit bandwidth it uses on upload. This one allows you adjust quality of video. And, supposedly, that reduces the bandwidth. But, to what is unknown without a sniffer a router that gives you live bandwidth usage. For the price, I think it could better.

Great cameras and very easy to setup since there are no wires. I love how smart these cameras are with auto focus on and it's able to watch anything in 4K! Need a fast internet connection and wireless router so don't go cheap if your trying to buy this system.

Never expected such an underperforming product from Arlo. I bought a 4 Camera System and one out of Cameras goes offline immediately after being synchronized. All my cameras are sitting next to the hub right now. Other cameras too goes offline few times. I have Q-see 4K wired cameras as well and from Q-See live and recorded videos you can easily tell what actually 4K resolution is about! Arlo Ultra is not 4K at all. When you zoom picture quality becomes blurry. I’m honestly very disappointed.

for those of us who do not like wires this is a great option. The set up was fast and easy, all functions worked ( make sure to reboot the system after updates to Insure full functionality). And the price is far below 4k wired systems. And its expandable. We love it.

Was so pleased with my Arlo PRO 2’ ... decided to upgrade to the Arlo ULTRA - that was a mistake. ARLO ULTRA: Pros: - Looks well made like my PRO 2’s ... and at 4K resolution... should be great! Negs: - Customer Service - Use to have great customer service with knowledgeable people. Now you get a call center in the Philippines with people that barely know the system. In addition my 4 calls averaged 1/2 hr to 1 hr each on hold - they were unable to solve problems - waste of time. - Signal Range - ULTRA cameras don’t allow placement out as far as my PRO 2’s. (They said new cameras require faster speeds to work properly - When I ran speed checks ... they far exceeded the ULTRA requirements - they had no solution. - Annoying false detections - causing the camera to activate every few min. and battery to drain in 2 days. - Less battery life than Pro 2’s. - Battery compartment fills with rain water. - Ability to read license plate no better than Pro 2’s (May of only been getting 1080 K on my Ultra camera’s ... but tech support unable to correct. - Price - with the poor battery life due to the heavy drain on the ULTRA batteries ... the “1” charging cord provided is a joke - plan on buying more. Conclusion: ARLO has lost its way ... so busy adding more features they lost focus on how to make a high quality camera that was reliable.

I love these security cameras! Lots of features and extremely easy setup, took only a few minutes! So far the battery life has been more than I can ask for! It’s been lasting longer than expected; 25 days so far and still plenty of charge left! Down side is the price, but worth it to me!

Guys if you dont know anything how to install anything this is a no brainer! Honestly easy as 123 great product quality is on point must have strong wifi to be able to get the best out of this system. Downfall is battery only last up to a week. So buy a spare to keep on swapping them out.

These are super easy to setup and install. Come with a year of monitoring for 5 cameras for free, which is great since I have the Arlo Video Doorbell that pairs perfectly with the included Smart Hub. They even have sirens, microphones, speakers, and spot lights!!

Definitely not happy with these cameras. Despite trying to find the most optimal space for each individual camera the wifi signal is poor and it takes a while to get the live view for all devices (My internet is blazingly fast so it has nothing to do with internet speed in regards to this issue). Second biggest issue is the batteries. I set all the settings to optimize battery life and despite that the batteries last 6-7 weeks at most unlike the 6 months advertised. Will not buy Arlo products again! They are expensive and better alternatives out there. Only reason I’m not giving one star is because the resolution is decent.

I have the Pros and the Ultras. The enhanced features with the ultra are worth the money. The capability to zoom in and utilizing artificial intelligence allows the capacity of what caused the camera to trigger. The spotlight integrated is definitely a unique feature as well.
