Light is bright enough but it doesn’t pick up motion until we get about 10ft away. Not very good when your talking security. I set up the zone for the driveway and walked up to both our vehicles and nothing came on. I could smash a window do what I wanted and never trip camera. Technology is great I give it a 5 star but performance is horrible I give that 0 stars.

I have several Alro Pro 3 cameras that work fairly well and, overall, I am satisfied with those, HOWEVER, my opinion of this flood light is very different. The battery life is trash. Mine is mounted above our driveway so it was intended to pickup video of anyone stopping in front of our house or entering our driveway/front yard. 1st problem: the motion detection delay is ridiculously slow. Our mail carrier can be seen driving away but the camera doesn’t come on as soon as they enter the framed area... I’d estimate an 8 second delay. 2nd problem: 3 days on a charge!! I have the resolution on the lowest setting, HDR off, ambient light sensitivity all the way down, the flood light set to a pathetic 5% brightness, and enabled the setting for “best battery performance”, and even with all that, this camera needs its battery recharged every 3 days. My street isn’t even that busy, it’s in small suburban subdivision. Even if you put this in an area with minimal motion detection, like a backyard, you’re going to have climb a ladder and swap batteries every 5 or 6 days. Arlo’s Solar Panel is not the solution. I added it thinking I would no longer have to charge it but I was wrong. The battery drains about 30% per day but the solar charge only adds about 8% on a bright sunny day with approximately 7-8 hours of direct sunlight (spring/summer). So even with a solar panel, I’m having to recharge the battery once a week. Not worth the inconvenience. Aukey supposedly makes cameras that only need recharging once every 6 months. Alro Pro 3 cameras last a little over a month in my experience, so maybe with a solar panel you go 3 or 4 months on a charge.

Great product! Lights up the street and clear video images

Just put this up after a break-in. The floodlight is very bright. The siren is not as loud as I anticipated it would be. We also have a certain area marked off to get notifications and it seems to catch our neighbors in their backyard pretty regularly (which is outside our desired activity zone). May move the location of the camera because of this. Video quality is great, notifications come fast. Wish there were window/door sensors that were compatible with the system.

Video has great quality and also the night vision. Price was reasonable easy to install and set up.

I love Arlo products mainly because of quality but also because you can record locally with the optional hub. You don't HAVE to pay for cloud recording like you do with Google cameras. I've rated this floodlight camera lower than I would any of their other products because it has given me the most issues. It will randomly shut itself down and the motion detector for the floodlight is intermittent at best. When it is working the quality is great. I have installed several of these for a friend on her Air BNB's and she has had no issues with them. She does pay for the cloud access rather than recording locally so that may be the key with these particular cameras.

The setting up was a bit tricky but straightforward if you follow the instructions. The camera light is powerful and the solar panel provides permanent charging. I also set up a nearby Google Mesh to avoid network issues, so perhaps this may be needed or not depwnding on the location. In my case it was necessary to prop up the wifi.

Awesome quality pictures. Bright spot light. Works as promised.
