Setup was a real easy with after the downloading the Arlo app and the wizard walk through setup. It has a really nice Floodlight that can be manually turned and brightness adjust from within the app. And also a nice little siren controlled within the app. I was really concerned with the lag in video feed initially. It was anywhere from 30 secs to a minute. HOWEVER, this occurs if you disarm the system. If you arm the system, then the video lag on my network is about 3 to 6 secs. I'm thinking that's acceptable for now, until I'm missing a package :( Mounting it was quite simple with the enclosed template back plate, As suggested in the Arlo app setup tutorial, it is easier to mount with camera and battery part disconnected. Not much information was given about the battery. I was concerned about the battery life and how often I would have to dismount the camera and charge the battery. After research online, I found the battery life to be anywhere from 3-6 months. I hope it is rechargeable when the time comes. As with all my devices, I always charge the battery fully before use. It still shows 100% after a few days, but then I don't live in Grand Central Park. There are other charging options, which I haven't looked into yet. It has a magnetic charge connection on the bottom, which requires an optional magnetic cable and solar panel to charge the camera battery. But I did notice that it does say camera wasn't functional when I was charging it with the included micro usb cable. Since there wasn't an actual owners manual included in my box, you can download the owner's manual online through the Arlo website. Just the floodlight camera does not include an option to use a SD card. However, if you have the Arlo hub (separate purchase) and are connected to it, you can insert a micro sd card there. So, just having the Arlo - Pro 3 Indoor/Outdoor Wire-Free 2K HDR Floodlight Camera, you either have to subscribe to the cloud service or try to catch notifications live (with a little lag). 3 months subscription included, subscriptions start at $2.99 or $3.99, can't recall of the top of my head. Overall, It is nice product, however, I feel a rechargeable solar panel and mag cable should be included. if it is your only security camera system that you have, then it would be good choice with it's wide viewing angle. If you currently have a night vision capable security system, then it isn't necessary. So if you're only wanting a single wide view camera, that is easy to setup and mount. This would be for you with it's long life battery.

I just built a house and the builders did not put any wiring for a floodlight above the garage door (it was a cookie-cutter home). Anyway, I wanted to make sure that I had a motion-sensing floodlight and it obviously needed a battery (the wife hates visible wires). In all my research the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight came highly recommended so I decided to get one to try out and I could not be happier. The video is always crystal clear, even at night and the floodlight is the perfect amount of lumens. It won't blind anyone but it makes sure that everything can still be seen. I really like the activity zones so I can draw out the area to make sure I reduce the number of false alerts. I am going to buy another one for my backyard.

Purchased the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera in addition to the doorbell/2 essential bundle pack for a black friday deal. It was the first to arrive and I installed it on the outside corner of my house pointing towards the driveway. Installation was very simple and took me only 10 minutes to mount the unit to a brick wall! The battery life has been great so far. There are so many useful features to customize within the app. The smart alerts are very functional and handy when away from the house. I have no complaints, only accolades! I am excited to install the rest of the cameras and see the whole system in action!

These things are amazing. I haven't mounted them yet but I have 2 of them in my backyard and I've had to reduce the brightness to 33% because they are so bright. And the recordings are really clear. Very happy so far. I've had Arlo cameras since 2017 and have been pleased. Yes there is a recording lag but it's something I've learned to live with. My current cameras are EOL so I decided to get 5 of these and with the customer discount code Arlo sent me I couldn't pass these up.

Had high hopes for this camera. Already have a doorbell camera from another manufacturer plus a floodlight security camera which I have installed by our garage. Had a very decent experience with the floodlight camera by the garage (different manufacturer), did hear good things about Arlo in general so decided to give it a try and use it on my backyard. First the good things. The setup was easy. The image is sharp, both during the day and at night. Camera looks solid. Great flexibility with setting up multiple activity zones and excluding some areas of the image from motion detection. Now the challenges. Easy to steal. Camera consists of two main parts. The mount which can be screwed to the wall or a post and the camera with the battery. If somebody wants to grab it, the mount is screwed and cannot be easily and quickly removed. But in order to remove the camera from the mount all you need to do is to press the release button on the mount and the camera can be taken out. I assume that this is for the purpose of easily recharging the battery, but still if someone just wants to grab the camera and take it with them, it takes only a second to remove from the mount. Poor battery life. Arlo advertises the average battery life on their website as 6 months. Mine was charged to 100%, then installed outside. Over the period of two weeks the charge went down to 17%. This is with the light setting set to the lowest and the video quality to optimized to “balance the video quality and battery life” as their setting says. Once I removed the light coming on automatically when motion was detected the battery life significantly improved. Poor execution of event notifications. Event notification will not take you directly to the current event video. Instead once you get the notification and then you click on it to see the event, you will be taken to the main section of the app, not to the actual recording. What you need to do next is to click on the Library button within the app be then find the video that you were just notified about. Video posts take time before they appear in the library. Upon clicking on the notification on many occasions the actual video was not there yet in the library, I had to wait several seconds before it did appear in the library. No pre-recorded video buffer. The actual video recording starts after the motion is detected. There is no pre-recording buffer like other manufacturers offer. What that means is that most of the videos begin when the movement is already in progress and you cannot see the motion from its beginning. You will not see in the video the first 2-3 seconds of the motion that triggered the recording. Event recordings are chunked into smaller pieces. The entire movement event will not be recorded all in one piece, instead you will get a series of short videos with gaps between them. For example I was watering plants outside, which took me about 3 minutes to finish. Arlo recorded 6 events out of that. Some were very short, like 13 seconds, some were longer like close to a minute. I was moving all the times along the way, still Arlo decided to cut the videos short and then trigger another event and another video recording. Inconsistent motion detection. On several occasions when I was sting in the field of the camera at a distance of about 10 feet away I would wave my hand several times and no recording would be triggered, no event notification would be received. On the other hand I would get several notifications when I was in the same place, not moving at all except my hands were moving while I was typing this review. So small movements could trigger the recording but several larger ones got completely ignored. I even got up and walked around twice and no event was recorded. Several minutes later all movements You have to pay monthly fees in order to fully use this camera. This camera, Pro 3, requires subscription in order to store videos. There is no local storage on the camera. Their prior version, Pro 2 comes with a 7 days free cloud storage. But Pro 3 requires subscription in order to store videos. You will get the first 3 months free as a trial, but afterwards you need to pay monthly in order to see your recorded videos. Overall I am somewhat disappointed in Pro 3. Maybe I was expecting too much. With inconsistent motion detection, recordings that do not capture the event from its beginning, the required two step process to see the actual video (cannot go straight from notification to the actual video), required subscription and no local storage Pro 3 it does not look to me like the best value to be recommended.

The image is clear including night color video captured. The flood light is very bright for my pathway, after running for a month the battery still have 40% left (30% brightness @ 1 min, about 20 triggers day and 5 triggers at night), great battery life. Love the product. I was using one Arlo Lights and one cam before, now I just use one single Floodlight camera.

I really like this floodlight. Although I bought it primarily to light up my driveway and stairway at night, it also provides excellent images during the day. Wide exposure area and the light is super bright at night. Siren and audible feature make this a must have. Great looking and easy to mount. All of the various features are adjustable, so it is extremely user friendly. Battery life is fine, but I am going to purchase the optional AC charger cable so that I don't have to worry about battery life.

The ease of use installing this camera is amazing. The whole Arlo Family is a super security system. I have 4 camera, the door bell and two of the floodlights. With the Arlo Smart package you never have to worry about anyone being on your property. And none of that Black & White pictures at night with the lights coming on you get full 2k color video!!! I can’t say how amazing these cameras are in words. But if your looking into a new set of cameras for your property this is the way to go!!

I bought this along with the pro 2 that came with a base and 2 cameras. I had the floodlight at my side door which is relatively dark at night, and I love how clear it is. Provides some peace of mind knowing all 4 corner of my house is being monitored. The video is very clear and pretty sensitive to movement (so you can adjust it base on your needs)UI is easy to understand and straight forward

Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam is the best outdoor security cameras we've seen. It records great quality video both during the day and at night, offers effective and clear two-way communication, and the addition of floodlights adds an extra layer of protection to your home and driveway. the package detection features allows me to communicate directly with the delivery team. The way the battery holds the charge makes me speechless. This is the outdoor camera to get.

I installed two cameras last week. I took about 20 minutes to mount the two cameras outside including two solar panel. Getting great performance from the cameras. On that evening, I saw two people surrounding my house through video playback. After they noticed that I had installed the floodlights and camera, they left.

I like this flood light because it really lights up the area for great visibility. Mine is pointed towards a corner of my property that is adjacent to a city sidewalk. The next time the phantom p ooper comes to do his or her business it will be recorded in bright full colour hi definition.

These are incredibly bright. Alerts are spot on. Easy to install, easy to use.

Great quality ! Okay lasting battery! Bad that you have to pay for certain services like package and person detection. The light is sufficiently bright.

Very bright and easy to set up. I had Arlo pros when they first came out and found them somewhat unreliable and difficult to maintain, with long delays. It seems as though the technology has come along way. No long-term experience yet

The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight is exactly what I was looking for. A camera and light combo that can be installed without running electricity. The camera is of excellent quality and detection sensors can identify individuals, animals, or vehicles. I am glad I made this purchase to help secure my home.

Let's get straight to the chase. The floodlight is way brighter than I thought it would be. If you have owned an Arlo wireless camera before, this is the exact same thing except with a floodlight attached to it that lights up when it detects movement. Camera quality is on par with that. All the features of the latest camera model are in this floodlight camera.

This is a better replacement than I expected from my old flood light which I thought was bright. This Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight has a great coverage area, amazing quality of video & is super bright. We love it & it makes me feel much more safe having the motion detection also.

I ordered this to replace an old Arlo floodlight and an old Arlo Pro camera. This works great and I am replacing two items with one. The picture quality as well as the motion detection are working very good. Very satisfied so far.

Nice and bright when triggered. Works perfectly with the solar charger (worth buying). Range of triggered activity areas aren't that great, so it's best when spotting someone or something in plain site.
