Base station seems to only be a dedicated router only for the Arlo cameras. No on-site memory- I would have paid extra for that but any storage of video is in subscription paid cloud only. So without the subscription you just get notifications that someone entered a zone but no storage to see what happened. Just know that before you purchase.

Nice camera works well. Clear screen to watch. Good for protecting yourself.

Recently had some kid pound on my door and run away. With this camera mounted on the driveway it not only allows me to keep an eye on the house but it’s presence deters anyone else from approaching. I will say that you need a strong WiFi signal to properly stream so make sure you configure placement properly

I am completely blown away by the design and performance of the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera! It has completely exceeded my expectations for what a battery operated wireless camera is capable of. The reliable operation and the crystal clear 2K HDR high resolution videos it captures are truly outstanding! I especially like that it can be mounted anywhere, and does not require a wired electrical connection. The first thing you want to do is perform an internet speed check at the exact spot you intend to install it. A strong and stable Wi-Fi internet signal is an absolute must for this device to work smoothly. Of particular importance is the upload speed, because that is what will determine how fast you can access the video feeds. The minimum upload speed is 2 Mbps. The setup is very straightforward. Included in the box are the necessary mounting accessories to accommodate most vertical mounting applications. Once the mount is up, the camera snaps in and out of the mount. When the camera needs to be charged, simply remove it from the mount and bring it inside to charge. This model does not require the use of an Arlo Hub. This floodlight is weather resistant and has a high quality look and feel to it. I fully expect that it will be able to withstand the outdoor elements, and that I will be able to use it for years to come. The 2K HDR video quality is excellent. Videos are super clear and detailed. As I said earlier, make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal where you intend to install this camera. Streaming HD video requires a high speed wireless internet connection to work properly. A weak Wi-Fi signal will negatively affect the operation and the audio and video quality. The night vision works well, but when the floodlights turn on the camera switches to standard recording. The motion detection is accurate and the sensitivity can be adjusted. The included XL Battery is rated for up to 6 months of use. I have been using it for the past few days, and the charge level is still over 90 percent. The amount of time it will last will vary based on how often it is activated, and how it is used. The Arlo App is intuitive and makes controlling the floodlight camera very easy. It allows a high degree of customization of nearly all of the functions. There are many features and options to explore and experiment with. Included is a 90 day trial to the Arlo Smart video service. After 90 days, the cost is $2.99 a month per camera. I am very satisfied with Arlo Smart, and intend to continue with the plan after the initial 90 days. It offers numerous features that are worth the cost The floodlight LED’s are extremely bright and are capable of outputting between 2000 and 3000 lumens of illumination at 4000 Kelvin. It can output 2000 lumens on battery power. Getting to the full 3000 lumens requires using an outdoors magnetic charging cable, that is a separate purchase. The 2000 lumens is more than bright enough for most applications. It is dimmable from 100 percent brightness down to 5 percent brightness. I have the brightness set to 50 percent, and find the illumination to be perfect for what I want.
