I bought two of these and the setup was a synch, not to me ruin the flawless app and managing both cameras. Simple and intuitive design lets me arm and disarm all lights. The super intelligent cameras detects vehicles, persons, animals, and general motion with awesome 2K clarity and audio to match. Do yourself a favor and pick up these and worry no more!

I bought the Arlo Floodlight cam to supplement the security system we already have in place. It was a good move. Everything works as it's supposed to, looks great, super easy to install, and it integrates flawlessly. I'm very happy with the Arlo products.

I use Arlo Floodlight camera for my garage entrance. Motion sensor works great and lights up the whole front yard which is great if any tries to intrude. Camera captures crisp videos. Floodlight used inconjunction with the camera, will deter any intruder away. I have only had it for 2 weeks and battery has drained by only 5% which shows it can last a while.

I have been wanting to get a device like this for some time. The installation was easy peazy! the app is very easy to use. I like the comfort of the fllodlight knowing anything moves will be seen. Also seeing all the critters that roam around at night is always fun to review in the morning.

I have been using this for a couple weeks now and I am very happy with the quality in craftsmanship as well as functionality. The light is much brighter than I had expected. One small complaint is I think the magnetic charge cable should be included as well as an option to upgrade it to longer length.

Once I got a working one, camera has been working as smooth as my Ultra 4K models. Light is very bright. So far, very impressed. Just need HomeKit support to give it 5 stars.

    Decent camera

For starters, as with a lot of wireless products, you have to be connected to a 2.4gz network in order to setup the camera, so you'll want to make sure you can connect to one before setup. Once setup, the camera has all the typical features of smart cameras with the added benefit of a powerful floodlight. However, and maybe it's just mine, but the quality is not what I expected from "2k HDR". Also, you can zoom up to 12x, but the picture quality degrades pretty quickly when you start zooming. Another issue I have with it is the microphone doesn't want to work. There is supposed to be 2-way audio, and I can hear sound coming from the camera, but when I press the microphone button in the app in order to speak, it keeps giving me an error message that it "cannot connect". Maybe these are things that will be fixed with an update. If they are corrected, it would be a 5 star product in my opinion.

It is an excellent product that does just what it says on the box and is as easy to use as described also since installation it might have already earned its keep as neighbors have had losses from their cars whilst the floodlight seems to have deterred the thieves from our driveway

The new floodlight camera is exactly what I needed for driveway safety. Due to recent car break-ins in my neighborhood I needed a solution to both illuminate and record my driveway. This product did just that. Video quality is A+

This camera is special. I has presence, physical and logical. I has an excellent detection mechanism and a bright bright bright light that reminds you of all the things you missed not seeing at night. The only interesting secret... it really WANTS Arlo's external power cable or it will tell you to go shopping.

Super easy to add to current system and very solidly built for over the garage, side or even backyard. You can never have too many cameras for your own peace of mind! Superb battery life too! Pricy, but worth checking it out. Thanks.

    Unreliable camera

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Purchase this floodlight camera about a year ago. The first 3 months trial was great, had no issues. After the 3 months trial and I didn’t paid to subscription of their plan, that’s when the issue start. Also it only supports the 2.4 ghz network. If you want to upgrade to a faster network this camera will not work, and it’s useless. Unless you gonna sticks with a slower network for just to used the camera, and subscribe to their plan. Otherwise you just throwing your money alway. And a full charge battery only last 3 months, not what it’s said 6 months.

      Hello Unreliable,

We appreciate your time in writing your feedback about your Arlo Pro 3 camera experience and would like to mention that apart from cloud storage your cameras will be able to utilize the advanced Arlo Smart features listed here : https://kb.arlo.com/000056583 when subscribed to Arlo Smart. Also, although the 5GHz network gives better speed, the 2.4GHz on the other hand offers better range which is needed to place the camera far from its base station. The standard speed from the 2.4GHz band is enough as long as you get good internet speed from your internet service provider.

For tips on how you can extend the battery life of your Arlo camera, please check this article : https://kb.arlo.com/291/. Also, contact Arlo Support Team if you need assistance with your system : https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx.

It is great. I love being able to adjust the brightness of the light so I am not blinded when I pull into my driveway. I would say what separates Arlo from the rest is the little tweaks and customizations you can do through the app, which are great.

Too slow, even with paid subscription

    Posted .

Kind of disappointed in the floodlight camera. Lighting is great, alerts are ok. If you pay for the extra subscription you get AI alerts, so not going off 20 times a day. I'm fine with that, but if I'm paying that much per month, I do not expect how much latency there is. I have a solid 6e network, gig speed and awesome wireless connection. It can 8-9 seconds to see the camera from once the app is opened. I don't recall ever seeing less than 5 seconds. Video quality awesome. The fact they require a subscription to go back and watch, 9 seconds is plenty of time to get over the fence and below the camera. Without a subscription it could be a cat. Again, If I'm paying (used up the free trial), make sure I at least get speed. My cheap Kuna front door camera I bought 5 years ago. Is faster, cheaper (I do pay for that, speed is the same regardless of subscription, same AI) I was hoping I could replace that, won't now. Also, doesn't work with Homekit secure video. I would pay Arlo to unlock it so I could. I'd pay the same amount. Why such poor/slow speed. Sister in law has a full arlo security setup, dedicated hub, pretty much the best you can get, and it still takes a while to load and see what's going on. Didn't time it, but seemed around 6-8 seconds to view the feed. I'm not expecting thread speeds, but man, at least be comparable to a low cost, smaller name brand product. Originally had 3 stars, but while writing, it really doesn't deserve more than 2. No feeling of security with this camera.

The Arlo Pro 3 floodlight camera is easy to set up and connect. Alexa and Google both recognized it immediately. It gives you a sense of security. The light is bright. I also bought a solar charger for it which is much better then recharging the battery with a cable.

    No constant video recording

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I really like this camera system. What’s stopping me from giving 5 stars is the recording. It breaks videos up instead of a constant recording of movement. I get a lot of 15 sec videos sometimes they can be longer 30+ seconds even a minute but it’s not a constant recording. I had my nephew in my driveway and instead of recording the entire thing in one. It recorded several, and I get constant notifications of it. Literally popping up on my phone. I could snooze it for a different amount of time but that’s not ideal in case something happens in that. I’d prefer it to just record it all entirely.
