Armored Core IV is GREAT
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is an adrenaline rush. I love the scale of the mechs compared to the world. It truly feels like I’m playing as a gundam or as masengerZ. The amount of builds that can be customized and rearranged gives this game long playability. The bosses are amazing. If you love the immense and intimidating bosses from other FromSoftware games like Bloodborne or Elden Ring… you will love the demanding, soul crushing boss encounters this game throws at you.

Just like my childhood
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reminds me of everything I enjoyed from the original Armored Core games and more. Fantastically done. Yes, the game does get hard and can be quite difficult, this is what makes the game so great; learn to adjust to your opponents and be aware of your environment and you'll be fine! You can also replay missions for extra funds if you find yourself short to get upgrades to pass a mission.

New to AC series
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not played an AC game before, picked it up after enjoying Bloodborne and Elden Ring. After playing for a few hours I have not hit any bugs. It is fun to customize the mech. Missions are bite sized so it is easy to play for a few minutes or for extended gaming sessions. Intro boss was a little challenging but not too bad. Gameplay is more interactive than Mech Assault

Mecha action
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun mecha hopping chaos. Lots of customization options, decent controls, excellent action. Story is a bit of a bummer and visuals are dated. Still fun

Armored Core 6
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great high quality game with lots of customization and replayability. Gameplay is addictive and fine tuned, providing a decent challenge for newcomers and veterans of the series. Fromsoft once again hits a home run, they never strike out.

Robot Smashing Fun!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re ready for robot smashing fun. This is the game for you. DLC will improve the story line in the near future. Plenty to customize with pros and cons. You can’t have the ultimate fighting machine but you will be close to perfection. Enjoy!

Fromsoft
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the series has been asleep for a near decade, Armored Core is now very much awake. This is not elden ring. This is not souls. This is armored core. If you enjoy, deep customization and menus and intense combat and a challenge, look no farther.

Mech Game of Dreams
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loads of gameplay and fun to be bad, replayability is definitely up there! Customization options for your AC are amazing and the introduction of a modern system is a breath of fresh air for the series

Gameplay is KING
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Difficult but rewarding to master with deep customization options that offer so many different ways to play! Game is gorgeous to boot - my only critique is that the story/characters faded so far into the background by comparison. The gameplay is the absolute star so if you want to pilot crazy mechs to battle, die, and repeat, this is THE game to play.

Good Mech Fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a fan of the original AC games, I was very excited to see this. This game has done a great job of maintaining its origins and adding on that. I love that i can pick up the controller an play 2 or 3 levels or dive in and bringe for 2 hrs. Storyline is ehhh but the gameplay makes up for that. Must have for mech/robot fans.

Near Perfection
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bug/Glitch free, with a smooth 60fps, and very minimal drops that you likely won't even notice. Game is VERY hard, so if you don't like challenging games, you can sit this one out. But... it's well worth the struggle. Game is A-tier for me. My only issues are that I think various guns need a slight damage buff, and increase in magazine size... lol.. that's it. Looking forward to coming balancing patches, that if done right, will kick this game into S-tier.

Armored Core is back!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Played Armored Core on PS2 all day long when I was a kid. Used to love customizing my mech and unlocking new parts. That's all still here! Combat feels great, feels like giant mechs without being too sluggish and unfun. Had no idea FromSoftware (Dark Souls, Elden Ring) made these games, that's why they're so good! Love that this series is back, mech combat games are too uncommon nowadays. This has got to be the best one this generation.

A dream come true
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Remember being a kid and seeing how cool mechas look? Not only does this game let you play as cool looking mechas, it also makes it easy for you to customize them and make your own! It’s also a very unique genre, and an excellent addition to my PS5 game library. The short mission based structure reminds me of Ace Combat, and this game makes an excellent replacement for that game that has failed to innovate and modernize itself over time.

Armored Core is Back in Form!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played the old AC games on PSone/2 all the time. The fast paced action of lighter built ACs is what made it fun for me. Then the PS3 entries came and the gameplay just did not feel like AC to me and was quite slow paced with bursts of speed. But this latest entry is AC as I love! There are moments influenced by the PS3-era titles, mainly the gigantic enemy units. But the best addition to gameplay IMO is the verticality of the environments which adds so much more potential for exploration. And there is lots to explore despite being mission-based. Of course, the main course of any AC game is the customization of you AC and this game doesn’t particularly break the mold in that respect, but it does demand you balance your load out. Now if you’ve come to know From Software as the SoulsBorne studio you may be disappointed that this isn’t one of those. However, boss fights definitely feel inspired by those titles. They are punishing and leave you feeling very accomplished after you beat them.

Well worth the wait.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I waited for so many years for a new Armored Core and this one was worth the wait. It felt like just how I remembered the ones on the PS2 being. I wasn’t a fan of the AC games after the PS2 generation because they just felt off but this one definitely brought back some old feelings towards this beloved franchise and I highly recommend especially is you like mech style combat that has a decent challenge.
