Customers are saying

Customers commend ARMS' surprisingly deep and fun gameplay, phenomenal motion controls, and ease of use, making it enjoyable for players of all skill levels. Many appreciate the colorful characters and find the game's difficulty to be a satisfying challenge. However, some wish for more content and find the price point to be a bit high, while others would like to see more single-player options.

My kids like this game in short intervals. It’s fun, but content is limited. It’s a bit gimmicky like the original Wii games with better graphics. I was deciding between this and Smash Brothers which is obviously very different. Wish I went with Smash.

First thing's first-I did have a good time with this game. It is quite interactive and, when you get into a match, can be somewhat tiring. ARMS shines in a lot of the same places that Mario Kart does. Playing with friends can be intense, and the core mechanics can lead to many interesting ways to play. This game also offers a fairly big challenge. I do not have too big of a fighting game past, so even level 2 (of 7) characters have given me grief. That brings me to my biggest complaint-there really isn't that many different modes. You have the classic fights, V-ball, Hoops, and Skillshot in the Grand Prix (the only main "story" mode where you are fighting through 10 rounds to become the grand champion), and only having these can get somewhat tedious after a while. I am also quite partial to the classic arena fights as opposed to these other fights. Some of them I will have to try multiple times to finally beat my computer opponent, at which point it only feels like luck. Again, I feel like it is easier for someone who is more skilled at fighting games to find a place here, but I think that I will stick to fighting my friends, as that is the true fun of this game.

Unlike most combo based fighting game this game is all about landing one or two hits after spotting an opening. I reccomend the Pro Controller but some people swear by the motion controls so try them both. Also that theme song is great! "Ohhhh ohhh oh oh oh oh Ohhhh oh oh Oooooooooh"

This game is very fun to play with friends locally or online. The modes are varied and very cool. I recommend trying the non-motion controls if you don't like punching the air. The characters are great and the graphics look slick on an HDTV or on the go. Must buy for Switch owners!

I as well as all of my friends absolutely love the game! I have already put so much time into it and still plan to put more in. The game is very easy to pick up and play with friends as they all caught on quick. The game is a blast especially when playing four player split screen.

The game is really fun and a very unique take on the fighting game genre. The main issue for people seems to be the lack of features, but the people saying that likely haven't played many fighting games, where features trend toward being on the lighter side. The only feature that I wish the game also had is a story mode

I was on the fence about buying this game, but after giving into temptation I am very glad I did. Online play is both unique and fun and the gameplay itself is nothing like you’ve ever seen. It can be played with and without motion controls, and both feel fluid and fun.

I was really surprised on how addicting this game would be. The concept is so simple but very entertaining. If you are having friends over this is the perfect game. Everyone couldn't stop laughing at the animation and replays when we would vs each other. Hilarious and great fun!

Boxing, Nintendoized. This is not Wii boxing. It's so much better. Players can choose from a variety of characters—each with different powers. There are four controller configurations, each also has its pros and cons. Anyone who is a fan of part games, boxing games, or new takes on old ideas, this is well worth the money.

ARMS is a unique fighter that's an excellent pick for people who are not usually fans of the fighting genre. It's multitude of control styles combined with its light-hearted spirit makes it accessible for newbies, and an intriguing new challenge for those who want to master it.

I'm personally not big on playing games online against strangers, but ARMs is fun to play against friends on the couch, and that's all I was looking for when I picked this game up. The controls are wacky enough to be fun while not being gimmicky or inaccurate. Worth a try if you're willing to give it.

i was very hesitant to buy this at first, but after seeing reviews and videos on people playing it i thought id give it a shot, its really not bad its fun but like most games its fun for a few rounds then you probably wont touch again for another day or 2. But overall its different and worth playing in joycon mode for max joy
