Customers are saying

Customers commend ARMS' surprisingly deep and fun gameplay, phenomenal motion controls, and ease of use, making it enjoyable for players of all skill levels. Many appreciate the colorful characters and find the game's difficulty to be a satisfying challenge. However, some wish for more content and find the price point to be a bit high, while others would like to see more single-player options.

    Very good versus mode

Arms is a fighting game that is suitable for a younger audience, but it is still challenging for older, and more experienced, gamers. You can set the difficulty from 1 to 7 for the story mode, although that mode does not have much of a story. Regardless, my children, ranging from age 3 to 10, have a suitable challenge. The local multiplayer versus mode is our favorite. The whole family lines up to play the winner. Oddly enough, the youngest player is the hardest to beat. The versus mode alone is a good reason to get this game for the family.

This is a boxing game with a twist. Each of the12 boxers has a different ability. The arms of the fighters are big springs and there are about 40 different gloves (each that do something a bit different). the game says that you can have up to 4 people, but i have only played the 2 person version so far In a word, this game is FUN. The only other game that would be a "if you only buy one game" is Mario Cart 8, because you can play 4 people at a time on one game

Arms is a fun fighting game that utilizes motion controls in an excellent way and traditional controls that feel good as well. At this time I would not say it is an essential buy for the Switch but if the concept appeals to you I highly recommend it. Truthfully it does take some adjustment time for most people to get better at the game so don't worry if it is hard at first.

Arms is fun, odd, and strangely addicting. It has no story mode but the split screen co-op mode is great. Not sure it's worth $60 but still fun!

Arms is a great take on the boxing genre of fighting games. Motion controls work very well and the game is a blast to play online in Party Mode.

Motion controls are solid and while having a learning curve, provide a cool experience. Local 1v1 is really fun.

This is a fun multiplayer game. Haven't tried it solo. It looks good and the controls works well (I have been using one Joy Con in each hand).

ARMS may seem a bit strange and not like other fighting games, but I think that is what makes it so great. Nintendo takes a video-game genre bursting at the seams with clones and creates something new with a fresh looking appeal. Very like what Nintendo accomplished with the First-Person Shooter genre when they made Splatoon. And on the Nintendo Switch, all the different ways to play make it easy for someone to jump in and find their preferred play style.

I'll be the first to admit I was not sold on this game when Nintendo first revealed it. However, after the Global Test Punch, I finally understood its simple brilliance. It's a fighting game stripped down to its most basic components, with a healthy dose of strategy thrown in. After a week with it, all I can think about is badly I want to get home from work so I can jump back in to ranked matches. With free DLC on the way, I'm sure it will only get better!

I bought into this game after watching the Nintendo Direct talking about it and then later trying the Test Punch demos. The game remains fun to play and the motion controls are intuitive and work very well. The only problem I have is that there really are no great unlockable stages, characters, or items by playing through the game (aside from additional arms for characters that the other characters already have). New modes and characters have been promised, but don't go into this game expecting much more than you start the game with.

Oh yes.. ARMS. I know it looks silly, but really it's a great game and great fun. You get a work out if you go pro and do the work with the joycons, if you are a non motion controlling person, then shame on you, do the work. I love doing social matches and beating and getting beat. I am not good enough for ranked. Load times are ok, figured they would be better with a cart, but not as good as I expected. Overall, if you have a switch, this is a must have!

I was hesitant on buying this without ever playing it but after getting it home, I absolutely love it! It has way more strategy to fighting than I originally thought and I love that aspect!

This new IP from Nintendo introduces a whole new way to beat up your friends. Giving the player multiple options of control, this game really feels like the future of gaming. The motion is crazy! And the way you're supposed to hold the controller was unfathomable, but very creative, admirable, and comfortable. I still haven't figured out what play-style I like the most nor my favorite game mode, however, I definitely recommend giving this one a try.

Good simple game for family fun "boxing". It can be very entertaining for moments with family or friends but it feels like it is missing something to make it truly great. I recommend this mainly for younger people, kids, etc.

Arms is a great game on the Nintendo Switch! It’s a lot of fun to play either by yourself or with a friend. Controlls are a little tricky at first but you get the hang of it over time.
