Should have gotten the warranty. Tried to replace my Comcast telephony router with this model. After Comcast initialized the modem, it immediately connected and we had internet. For three months. Then it died. For those three months, the telephony NEVER worked. We forwarded our calls to another number as a work-around but ARRIS and COMCAST were never able to determine what the problem was.

Slow loading and connecting. Freezes up. Needs software improvements.

i purchased this item over a year ago. A few months back I was told by comcast this item do not support the gigbyte speed. I was also not able to get the phone service to work. Lot of buffering when streaming movies and viewing my ring door bell.

So I thought I would update my modem and purchased this bades on the promises written on the box, It worked for about 20 days then it started dropping wifi, I thought it was comcast, called them numerous times, tried everything and nothing fixed it, one day I decided to reinstall my old one and boom no more trouble, returned this for store credit since it was over 15 day return policy. It cant keep up with Comcast’s speed, complete garbage. Still looking for a better cable modem

No sure how well it would work since I had to return because it will not work with dsl. 2 separate Best Buy reps gave me product recommendations for items available at Best Buy, I found out during my appointment with DirecTV that this is for cable router not dsl

One year toast. Have gigabit service. Told by Best Buy best. Told by Xfinity choking and not appropriate. Who is right? I’m the loser. Thank you again Best Buy.

Best Buy/Magnolia installed a state of the art home entertainment system in my new home. It has been a frustrating situation ever since installation. BB blamed cable/internet company for issues. Cable/internet company has documented that issues are with BB supplied hardware. This router was supposed to solve problems: did not change issues. This has been going on since March: so frustrating. Local Geek Squad guys have been AWESOME: issue is Magnolia will not take ownership of hardware design and admit it is defective. Still waiting on solution.

Xfinity told me this is NOT compatible like it states on the box, so it was a big waste of time. Wish Zero stars was an option.

This is going back good speeds when you close to the modem but leave the room 10 feet away drops speeds really bad. Went with a mesh system instead

I would not buy this Arris Surfboard again. The device only lasted just over one year before totally dying ANd obviously the manufacturer's warranty had just expired.

Does not work with Xfinity's new cable boxes that connect over WiFi. They will not work on any modem or router other than the one that Xfinity gives you. To quote the technician "You can get a much better product elsewhere (referring to modems and routers) so we trap people with this system." Sadly I am stuck with them and their over priced hardware.
