I thought it was the Xfinity issue but turns out to be it was not. I have never had any problems like this with other modems. It's very disappointing.

Didn't Work

I had repeated calls with my internet carrier and the product manufacturer (I had them both on the line at the same time). Ultimately I had to return it and bought a different model.

Low wifi range

Not compatible.

Intel puma chip bad for Xfinity phone service.

So far, perfect!

Hooked it up and activated it on line in less then 15 minutes. I have gig speed internet, speeds(pictured, wireless speeds are always half of hardwired) and performance are identical to Comcast's modem. Telephone works perfectly. All my settings and devices transferred flawlessly so I didn't have to reconnect anything. Took the rental back and brought the numbers from the Arris so they can add to my account. As for longevity, I'll have to update you that part.
