Purchased and installed for a friend. I was anticipating having a tough time getting their 2 phone lines migrated from the Comcast device they were renting. However, most of my time was spent trying to get Comcast to recognize the new device. The Arris instructions provide an 800 number for Comcast support, but I couldn't get past the automated menu. Once I became aware that the XFinity App was the primary method for installing new equipment AND got the app to let go of my account info, it worked very well. Phone lines came up without a hitch. Device has worked flawlessly for over a month.

When it works it works good but the Comcast service in my area isn't the greatest so it's hard to make a review of this item. I put the blame on Comcast.

I purchased this item to replace the Comcast router/modem I have been renting for $11/mo. This Arris model is one of the few that will work with Comcast phone service, which we have in addition to Internet and cable service. It took a call to Comcast to get everything working properly, but they were very helpful. The phone service piece requires a call to Comcast to re-set, you need to call before starting set-up. Set-up including call to Comcast took about 30-45 minutes. Working great now. I would definitely recommend this item if you have Comcast phone service and want to save the monthly equipment fee.

I wanted to get rid of my monthly rental for the modem from Comcast. This one was suggested. It works great -- even better than than the rental modem. It was very easy to set up. Clean instructions. Good signal.

I stopped renting my modem! Unhooked the modem I was paying a rental fee for monthly, connected the cable, and plugged it in. Turned on my computer and had it up and running. No issues

So for so good, seems to work great. Easy set-up except Xfinity had to send out a Tech because the phone was not working, but it was on their end. Luv the WIFI 2 channel.

COMCAST had some problems getting this modem to work properly but they eventually got it working. If this lasts more than two years I'll be saving money. Works fine. My devices operate at the same speed as they did with the COMCAST rented version.

I hated to have to rent the modem and router from Comcast. Finally this will pay off in just about one year with all the equipment we were able to give back to the cable company. Nothing to complain

Works great. Exchanged my xfinity box for this one and I have no complaints. I did have to call xfinity for them to swap the device. Besides that very easy set up.

Been renting a modem over 20 years, this one is comparable to the Comcast all in on, only hassle was getting Comcast to set it up on their end, but can all be done over the phone

It’s not the best but it does a moderate job for speed, if your next to it. The range does not reach far enough you will need to buy a WiFi extender with this model for sure. This is compatible for xfinity.

There are a few routers out there that tend to be top rated for xfinity. This one was more middle of the road cost wise and has been great so far. Easy set up!

If you want to stop paying rent for your Xfinity modem this is the perfect item to purchase. Faster, better signal. Easy to set up, you don’t necessarily have to call Xfinity to switch, can be activated in their app.

when i switched my home phone from a provider that allowed numerous junk calls on any given day to another provider, i looked to see what would be the best. Our HOA has a contract with the local alarm company which than does the monitoring of our home for nothing required a specific modem. OK, i invested in the Arris Modem. it looks better than the black ones, it also has a restart button on the top of it. No more looking to pull out the plug. Works fine. no problems. i am sure that i could have found a lower cost. but i will not pay to rent a modem from the cable people, but they recommended this modem also.

Outstanding was great easy to set up only reason I returned it was because I wanted expensive one to $300 arris and that’s it Everything was great

This router was recommended by a Best Buy tech since I still have a landline phone. I am very pleased with this purchase. Hook up was simple and Comcast completed the setup with me over the phone without any issues.

Usually strong signal generated during the day with no issues for both streaming TV and computer use. However, in the evening those same systems occasionally lose connectivity requiring a wi-fi restart.

my wife had me buy a modem/router so we didn't rent from the cable company this was an excellent replacement. Easy set up and great performance pays for itself within a year

I purchased this Arris router/modem almost a month ago so I could stop renting every month from my cable company. It was Easy to set up and is working great.
