Good modem/router but poor range

My only issue is that the range for the wifi signal sucks! I set this up in the bedroom and 100 ft (if that) to get to the living room has the signal drop to one bar and by the time I get to the home office, which is off the living room, the signal is gone. I'll be returning this to get another one with better range.
