When I first set this up service kept dropping. I called the hotline 3 times and changed a ton of settings. Nothing ever worked. Finally, I turned off the auto steering function and the drops stopped.

This router is not the best. The signal is super weak in my bedroom due to an old house with plastered walls. Switched to google he WiFi and just worked the best!

They make good modems, but this just did not have the best wi fi range and very pricey..My speeds would drop by half or more just upstairs from its location..would recommend the Netgear products

Quality of the modem is great, however the setting to make it go better with all the devices to connect and receive equal stream. is buggy and loses connections at times.

Not totally sure this is a GREAT modem/router. I seem to have some problems with it and the tech support group for the modem are not the brightest light bulbs in the box.

I get good speed, i could configure for guest wifi but it has limited range.. I cannot get wifi the i am on other side of my home, which was not the case with sbg6580.

Worked excellent the first day, but returned due to the Internet cutting out. The system kept rebooting every five minutes and would not keep a steady internet connection.

Took longer than expected to set up. Directions are definitely lacking. Consult online info for easier installation. Once installed though... no problems.

After several calls to my ISP(Cox) and restarting our cable/modem by Ubee Model DVW3266 I decided to research for a better device and came across this device. My teenagers were fighting and arguing over internet times because not all device could utilize the service at the same time without being dropped or kicked off. One kid on Netflix, another on the Xbox One, and one completing homework, while I'm checking their Homework and grade portals and my Hubby online for work. Our service began with a new installation of service, to calling Cox technical support everyday because it wasn't working properly technician came back out he had to leave before all the updates went through and they failed providing some error code resulting in more calls to technical support, upgraded our service from 50 Mbps to 300 Mbps all with in 2 weeks, to constant resetting, to researching the free Ubee equipment provided to us by the ISP, to finally fed up and purchasing the Motorola Arris Surfboard Modem & Wifi Router AC1900 Model SBG6900 for $224.xx The set up was very easy, called our ISP technical support to activate the gateway and was up and running within 10 min. Everyone is happy, happy, happy and I now have peace and quiet with no Screaming teenagers who ordinarily have busy schedules with extra-curricular activities, sports, clubs and private lessons but the few minutes they have home in the evenings before homework, showering, dinner and bed is no longer spent with us ending quarrels over who will log on to the internet first and limiting the time due to connectivity issues, so life is great for us as Parents now thanks to investing in better Equipment! I did have to return cox ubee cable modem/wifi router and pick up a separate modem free of charge for the telephone as there is no telephone port on this device, but I'm perfectly ok with that as we are a cell phone family and rarely use our home/landline phone.

I upgraded my internet speed so I needed to upgrade my modem. I've had to reset this modem more then I can remember. It's frustrating but does the job.
