Love the capabilities of this modem but it doesn't seem to have the wifi range I'm accustomed to. Curious if other owners have the same experience.

Terrible experience after numerous customer service people from cable company coming out we finally figured out that the router was the problem. Now it's been 6 months and we have to figure out how to return this or exchange it. It's absolutely miserable trying to trouble shoot with this thing. The sketchy IP site you have to go to and all the advanced settings make this a terrible product for someone that simply wants good wifi in their house without having an IT network degree. Too many other solutions available for the same price that offer much easier experiences. The Arris support team had me changing the channels this was on for months when I never had a problem with my router in the past.

I got this for 2 reasons: 1. I wanted to stop renting my cable modem 2. To try out wireless AC Both of these were accomplished and it is really fast. The only negative I have been experiencing is that the range is horrible! I have the router in the middle of my home and I drop to 1 wifi bar one room away. I have messed with the settings and nothing fixes the range issue.

If I could give minus stars, I would give this Arris combo a minus 5. I recently upgraded to two Smart TVs and thought it was also time to upgrade my six-year-old modem and router with this Arris combo. I consider myself fairly tech savvy and can get tech stuff to work fairly quickly. I use Skype and Hangouts almost daily, and after a week of constant WiFi disconnects and dropped calls, I took the router back, and reinstalled my old ones. They may be old, but they work much better with my new TVs and Skype/Hangouts than this Arris combo. I haven't had one dropped call since I got rid of this Arris combo. Sometimes newer technology is not better. Arris, you have lots of work to do on improving this combo!

As a modem it seems to function well, but the Wi-Fi will take a long time to load things at times. I hope I can find a way to tweak it!

While at the store one of the blue shirts explained that this product should work due to it have Moca, but that turned out not to be true.

Wanted Nighthawk but store was sold out . It is ok when using Ethernet cords but can't get wifi signal throughout my smaller home.

I can't say much about it other than easy setup and wireless worked wonderfully. But...Couldn't get it to connect through Comcast so we never actually got online with it. It was on their good to go list so it should have worked but it would never link up.

I got this wifi so I could Upgrade my internet but it would not work with midcontinent

It's worse than the modem you borrow from the cable company it always diconnecting

This router works well when you're right next to it. However, there is not enough coverage for the house. 3000sf

I'm happy with everything about this product except the WIFI range. After about 30 feet the performance drops off.

SURFboard AC1900 Dual-Band Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. It was Ok It got very very hot.

I bought this as an upgrade..... Silly me it goes in and out of service more than the box my cable company sent

It does the job it claims it will, but there are better options on the market. It's range is questionable.

I was a little disappointed, you have to be pretty close to get the wifi to work.

Did not have the range I need for my home that only 1800 square feet one floor.

Seems to go up and down. Inconsistent. Moderately happy with this purchase.

Going though two walls it travels about 35 feet before losing the signal.

Product has a clean white appearance and works fine. A little over priced.
