I bought this device to quit paying rent to my cable provider. After the initial setup, wich involved two calls to xfinity, I got the unit up and running. It has worked properly ever since, and I couldn't be more please with the performance. Only draw back is a long default password, which is a pain to enter on all wife devices.

This is an excellent choice if you're looking to get high speed internet at home and don't want to pay a "rental fee" from your internet provider to use their equipment. The only problem I encountered is my internet is through Mediacom and I have been unable to get the wireless to work because of an issue on their end. I have had this for a month and a half and have never had any problems with it.

Affordable and easy to setup. Great Wifi signal, covers all areas for my small apartment.

If you have a very high-speed internet connection (upgraded FIOS, something like that) and don't have a separate router, then this modem is for you. Very easy to set up and install. If you have a switch/hub for a variety of devices (like a wired home/small office) this modem/router would also be perfect. I have it connected to a switch, ultimately serving 10 connection points. Works perfectly.

Super easy to set up and get running. I had bought one for myself a while back, then a friend needed one, so I got another for him. Good coverage and speed for my apt. Never loses connection. Have not any problems at all.

My old router took quite awhile for my internet to connect my phone when I came home. I couldn't see paying Comcast $10.00 a month to rent a modem when I could buy a modem with a built in router at a good price. My phone now connects to the internet instantly with this modem/router. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I previously replaced my rented Comcast modem with a Netgear 450. After repeated service calls to the Netgear customer service I then purchased the Motorola Surfboard and it has worked flawlessly. Netgear repeated offered to "fix" their modem remotely for fees ranging from $39.99 for one-time to $179.99 for 2 years. Would not honor warranty but Best Buy did so I'm a Best buy customer for life.

This modem and router combination is great; it is easy to use and works very well.

Great coverage ans speed, only compliant is I had to call them to get the password so I could set my one name and password. Common problem, you'd think they would fix this before shipping, oh well. Still very satisfied.

I have had the router for only a couple of weeks so far and in that time have been pleased. The range of coverage is good but not as strong as my old Belkin. Overall I think it's a good product that won't disappoint.

After paying $10 a month for years to rent a cable modem and attaching my own WiFi unit I bought this unit. Why? The cable repair guy said that the rental unit was past it's intended life and I could do much better by buying this unit. Our download Wifi speeds increased 2X with the new modem/wifi combo unit. Super easy to install and initiate a secure password. Highly recommended!

Made my internet connection with xFinity faster. Easy to install. Have to call xfinity to activate with service. Cheaper than paying $8-$10 a month for their modem

The modem i purchased was a motorola and i feel that it works very well with my xfinity internet service. It was only like $80 and im very happy with my purchase.

Upon opening the box one of the first things I noticed was that there was only a quick start guide, no complete documentation for setting things up. There was nothing telling me how i could get the product manual, but having had a previous Motarola Surfboard modem I was able to find the manual on the web site. Getting started was simple enough, but when I opened the interface on my browser it looked nothing like the picture in the manual. Once i figured enough out I had the modem up and running, except when I tried to use two different tablets with the Wifi. It took three calls to teck support, and even then it was only with some trial and error myself that I was able to get things straightened out and now everything works like a charm.

This product was moderately priced and compatible with time warner internet. I was glad that I could buy this product instead of paying rental fees for a lesser quality product. Staff was helpful with information about the product. Installation was easy and fast.
