Good modem/router

It has plenty of wireless slot outputs also The only limitation I ran into was the range on the wireless has been limited in a home with more than one level. I countered that by hooking up my old Netgear Modem/Router as a wireless access point to an ethernet port.

Easy set-up but awful performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This comes package as the mac-daddy of 2 in 1 modem/routers, but I was anything but impressed. The modem is solid and performs excellent. Set-up is a breeze if using Comcast because it will prompt your computer to the activation website and you can be online in about 10 minutes and never make the dreaded call to Comcast. What is the worst is the wireless. I pay for 50Mbps and get ~42 on wired connection. however the wireless held steady at 30Mbps when I was within 10 ft of router then quickly dropped of to 2-3 about 15ft away and after about 25ft it was <1Mbps. after doing research the router in this is actually the equivalent of a $19.99 router. Save yourself the disappointment and go for a separate modem and router. It is WORTH the money.
