This was a replacement to an older wireless router and I can't say it was all that much of an upgrade. Antenna seems to have very limited range for a standard house construction. Its ok, but would not recommend.

Didn't need this one because it has a router in it. Wanted just a modem as I installed my Netgear Nighthawk router to take full advantage of my extreme internet speeds. Bought the Motorola SB6121 instead of this product.

    Not so easy wireless set-up.

Was easy to set up with my ISP. The wireless set up was not as easy. 1st, after following the Quick Set-up Guide, it only worked using the default device network name name and 20 character password. I finally called ARRIS Tech Support and was informed of a printing error in the Quick Start Guide. Still couldn't change the network name and password. I found and printed a device manual. No help. I again called ARRIS Tech Support and was informed that any additional support would result in a $30 charge. After struggling without ARRIS Tech Support, I finally was able to change the network name and password to something more personal.

I bought this cable-modem/Wi-Fi router because I did not want to pay Comcast the $10.00 monthly modem rental fee. However, upon installing this product I realized it wasn't going to do what I wanted it to do. For one thing, the maximum download speeds topped out at only 30 mbps when I was paying to receive download speeds of 75 mbps. And because it wasn't Comcast's router Comcast said there was no way for it to fix the problem with the download speeds. When using your own modem, Comcast tells you there is no way for it to ever guarantee you will ever get the download speeds you are paying for. Thus, it became obvious after using this product for a few hours that I would never get the download speeds that I was paying for if I kept using this product, and that there was no way to fix the issue if I kept using this product. Also, this product does not do dual-band simultaneously. That is to say, either you set it up to do the 2.4 ghz network or the 5 ghz network but it will not display both of them simultaneously. That was really annoying because the 5 ghz is way faster but a lot of smart devices, like my Samsung TV and my Sony blu-ray player, can't pick up the 5 ghz network only the 2.4 ghz network. So it's actually really useful when a modem-router can display both networks simultaneously so that some devices can be connected to the 5 ghz, if they have the capability, and other devices can be connected to the 2.4 ghz (if that is the only type of network they have the capability of being connected to). Because it was a big annoying headache to stay with this product, I ended up biting the bullet and renting Comcast's router. Now I get download speeds faster than what I pay for and when I have problems with the download speeds I can just call Comcast and they can fix the problem over the phone. I think I could also buy the modem-router that I rent from Comcast but it costs $199.

This router is horrible. Does not play nice with the Xbox, or the 2 different extenders that we have tried. Constantly drops connections and reassigns IP addresses.
