Why rent one from the cable company when you can own one that will pay for itself in less than a year. This modem is super fast, easy to configure, but with advanced options available as well through the administrative interface. Nice to be able to combine multiple devices into one and save on clutter: modem, wireless router, and ability to connect hard-wire devices too, so that Netflix doesn't stutter!

I have two of these , one for each of my two main locations. Very simple instructions for set up and easy for visiting family to access with a touch of a button.

Initial setup easy, the options for this unit are endless.

Picked this up to replace an old motorola sb6120, and installation was pretty straightforward. One problem quickly fixed was that the admin password noted in the manual was incorrect. I would up searching online for a few different possibilities before I tracked one down that worked. A lingering issue the connection speed. Charter increased their bandwidth by a bunch, but my connection remains mired at the lower speed. That it's performing right at the previous level and not some random amount suggests that the problem is on Charter's end, but all their people have been able to say so far is "dunno, everyone was supposed to switch over to the new tier." On spec this thing should have speed to burn, but I'm just not seeing it yet. Still troubleshooting though.

This is a great unit. I used to have a separate modem and wifi set up. Having it all in one makes things nice and neat. Hook up is easy and the power is great.

Affordable modem/router for home networking purposes.

Great value as far as saving the $8 monthly fee that Comcast charges. Took quite awhile to set up and get the speed to what the Comcast modem was getting. Found many household items caused interference and had to find a setting that wasn't disruptive. Motorola helpdesk didn't really spend much time with me trying to get it working properly.

It's working well so far and installing it was a breeze.

I had a 17 year old Linksys router that needed replacement. The Best Buy Salesperson showed me this modem/router combo that helped me to eliminate the cable company modem rental fee. I am very pleased with the product, and happy to save almost $100.00 a year on the modem rental. This item will pay for itself in less than 18 months.

This product works just as well as cable company routers.
