This modem is easy to set up and it provides a good signal. This is the modem recommended by the cable vendor.

I bought this modem after service was upgraded in the area I live in, I've constantly gotten the speed I'm paying for which i love, but, the wifi signal has been average to weak in different areas in my home, a problem which I never had with my old linksys router

Needed a router and local internet company was helpful in suggesting the device for its compatibility. Providing the options one would expect from a home networking gateway, plus a great under-the-hood control panel, this device, while not remarkable, is certainly one of the better devices I've had the pleasure of using.

After our ISP-provided modem died, we bought this model as it's what we had previously. Since the switch, our speed has been greatly affected. Called up the internet provider to ask why our speed has decreased, they ran tests and rebooted our modem. We were told that this modem caps the download speed at 100Mbps when our service is up to 200Mbps. The reason I called the ISP was that a speed test showed our download speed at 3.6Mbps. Our mobile phones' internet is a whole lot faster than that. Going back to get the recommended modem that can receive the speed we pay for, the SB6183.

Very easy to set-up and install. It's unfortunate this is not a universal modem/route but it does the job well.

Unit was easy to set up. Works great with TimeWarner cable. The modem reaches out to the back part of the house and the yard with no problem. Great for streaming music durring BBQ's. Would recommend to anyone.

We had to upgrade our old modem and router and can across this new Arris combination unit, fast and works great.

I bought this router to save money over renting one from Time Warner Cable. It worked well for a few months and then started having huge issues with dropping the connection and restarting. Time Warner told us the problem was that we were not paying for the right level of service to be compatible with using Wi-Fi, which I was skeptical of. However, they gave us a deal to bump up our bandwidth so I took that. The issue was not completely resolved, and we moved away from Time Warner's coverage area a few months later. This modem/router was not compatible with our new service with Charter. I still don't know how much of the issue was with the router and how much was with Time Warner, but I would not use that combination again.

It was easy for the tech. to install. I think I could have done it myself. The tech was here for another problem.

I bought this router a littler more than a year and a few weeks ago stop working, it was great while was working, i recommended this product to a couple of friends i hope they don't have the same issue i had.

New technology or almost newest... Huge bang for your buck. Easy to use.

Does a good job, since you don't notice that it's working fine. The set-up was a bit confusing, as at first it was not clear as to what number was the password that had to be entered for set up. That was the only glitch but was fairly easy to figure out.

This is a well priced modem and router combo unit that works very fast and easy on multiple devices (mac laptop, iPhones, Galaxy smartphone, Kindle Fire HD) in a small home. Meets Comcast specifications.

Set up was easy it only took me 30 minutes to install and have all of my electronics connected to the internet.

i wanted to ditch comcast modem rental fee and combine my router and modem together. less wires, less things plugged in, save $10/month. install is easy, setting up wireless was easy too but not flawless. there is no software disc you use motorolas website to set up your password and modem name. that wasnt very clear, be sure to look at the pdf for better instructions over the piece of paper in the box

Bought this to use with Comcast in slc. Had problems with it needing to be reset every few days. Comcast said it was old and no longer supported. Returned it for the white AC surfboard. No problems since.

Need to replaced my older Surfboard router/modem. Decided to stick with Motorola and it doesn't disappoint.
