Better than the Charter modems they give you
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work as a telecommuter from home and my employer was forcing us to change our routers and cable modem units to a combined unit. Since Charter doesn't offer combined cable modem/routers in my area, I had to go buy one. The ONLY compatible one Best Buy had was this unit. Had to call Charter and give them the MAC address so the modem would connect properly but once it did, it works better by far than the crummy modems they give you for free. I've never been able to get the speeds Charter promised (60Mbps) and the best I could get was 40 Mbps. With the new modem I am getting 60-70 Mbps. The biggest downside is that the wireless router on this is NOT very powerful and you will need a range extender if you have a big house. My smart TV which is about 20' away in the living room with only one wall between the router and tv, gets very limited signal. I used my old wireless router as a range extender and had to buy a new one for the other end of the house to get adequate coverage. I don't like combo modems/routers because it limits the upgrade options in the future and have to spend more but as my company paid for it, I didn't mind.

Compact, gets the job done. Easy to install

Life saver!

excellent modem router combo

Customers always had good things to say, as do I. Connectivity is awesome and hassle free, very user friendly; we run three Xbox 360 ' s at our house plus other electronics and never have an issue. Now if media com ran that good we would be set lol.

WiFi not great
