I got this modem for comcast high speed internet (which is recommended for this product) and the speed became lower than what I had before with my 4-year old modem. The internet speed is 25 mbps, I confirmed it by using the comcast speed test.

I came into the store looking for a router to replace the one comcast had given me due to the fact that comcast gave me a router that didn't work, and I was surprised by how much I liked this one.

I was tired of paying the rental for the broadband modem, and my wireless router was a few years old, so I decided to purchase my own modem/wifi router. This product was easy to install, and took only about 30 minutes to setup, configure and authorize with my ISP. I have not ever lost my internet connection (which would happen 1-2 times a month with the old modem).

This is great as an all in one modem, router, and Wi-Fi device. It really makes set up easy, and I haven't had any real problems with it. Every once in a great while the signal will drop out, but being in an apartment complex where everyone has an internet signal, this doesn't surprise me.

Wow, this is a really nice unit. No more separate modem & router. My cable company was recently merged with Time Warner. The service was horrible after they gave me an ARRIS P.O.C.. This Motorola modem is so efficient. My internet speed actually goes over TWC bass rate of 15gig. Needless to say, this was the #1 pick from TW as a replacement and I'm glad I bought it!

This is a great product for what I needed, I have a home security system that was hooked up with an old modem and then hooked to the security system router, then split to another home wifi router, was a very bad setup, so I bought this product installed and now I have one modem/router and my home security system hooked up. No more extra devices hogging up space.

I purchased this because I didn't want to keep leasing a modem from Time Warner Cable. It works great and the signal is pretty strong. I have 3 phones connected and two iPads connected along with an Xbox 1, and the modem continues to work strong. The only reason I am giving this a 4 star is because, once in a while I have to disconnect the modem and plug it back it, because the internet slows down to 2.3 MBPS. It doesn't have happen often, but i have done it a several times, about maybe 2-3 times a month or sometimes, I can go days or the whole month without having to unplug and plug it back it. So I really don't know what the problem is.

Rather purchase and own my own than rent one from Comcast (internet provider) . Looked around, saw great reviews and bought it. So far no complaints. Runs strong and smoothly in our apartment.

This was my second choice for a cable modem/router. When we decided to switch from a phone line broadband provider to CCXF Cable Broadband, I knew I wanted to buy my own modem/router, instead of renting from CC. Having this installed at my mother-in-laws, I preferred a modem/router combo instead of two separate units. I wanted to reduce the possible issues for her in the future. I originally purchased the Netgear N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router w/ Cable Modem. I purchased it a week before the installation happened. Every few days the 2.4GHz network would not accept the correct password. I decided to return the Netgear after experiencing this issue twice in the first week. I thought Best Buy had a 30 day return policy, but was surprised to learn that it is 15 days. I was grateful (though upset it was even an issue) that they accepted the return and let me exchange for the Arris Surfboard. The Surfboard doesn't have the password issue that the Netgear had, but overall it seems to be worse than the Netgear. First, the Netgear would broadcast both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks at the same time. With the Surfboard, you have to choose between broadcasting one or the other. It probably makes no real difference since our internet speed is only 10Mbps, so we wouldn't see a great difference in using the 5GHz network. Additionally the unit is in the basement, and the 2.4GHz is better at broadcasting through the floor. So we use the 2.4GHz network. My greatest complaint is that many times per day (or at least enough to say it's an issue), the network will jam up. All streaming, browsing, etc. stops. It is fixed by disconnecting the device from the network, and reconnecting. Or we have to wait for a few minutes for the network to start working again. We notice it on all active devices at the same time. It could be an issue with the CC service, but since it is fixed by disconnecting from the network and reconnecting, I believe it is an issue with the router. I will not use this device (or the Netgear) in my own home. I will use two separate devices, a modem and a router. It is sufficient for our needs, but the intermittent connection issues are noteworthy.
