SO I loved AC2! It was a great update to the original AC and created some fantastic environments. Each Assassin's Creed has tried to build on the AC2 formula, some to better degree than others. This game had a great mix of action and story. The base game is fun and I honestly enjoyed the pirate theme. The voice acting is also superb with exciting characters. If AC3 made you cold to the series, I would give it another try. This is an exceptional experience and gorgeous on PS4.

Best Assassins creed in years. I wasnt a big fan of the last game Assassins creed 3. It was full of bugs. Black flag fixes many of the problems that plagued the prior. There still is bugs but not nearly as many as the last. Nothing that ruins the fun of the game. My favorite parts were the the ship battles and pick up and go where ever you want on your ship. The world is huge and exploring is satisfying. Multiplier is also much improved

Very impressive, addicting game. I couldn't stop once I started. Great graphics as well. Ubisoft made another great game here.

i wasn't a huge fan of the previous games in the series. i didn't hate them, they just didn't appeal to me. however, this installment with the addition of the open sea and the life of a pirate has really won me over. there is a TON to do, find, accomplish and keep you busy with. i even bought the collector's edition of the strategy guide to be able to enjoy every square inch of the game and learn some of the behind the scenes of the game.

Never really played this line of games but thought it looked cool so I gave it a shot. The story line is intriguing and deep. The side missions in a massively open world only help to boost a great game. The addition of extra downloadable content is a plus. Can't wait to see the next release.

Never wrote a review before but felt compelled to start with this game. I have not played the whole game yet but so far am thoroughly impressed with all aspects of this game. The graphics are polished and controls not to complicated. The added crafting and treasure hunting allow for a person to explore beyond that of the storyline which I like best. I am also enjoying the remote play ability with my PS Vita when I have to share the TV with the family. The graphics can be a little pixilated at times but not to bad that it can affect gameplay. Not saying to go out and buy a Vita to do this but if you already own one it's a nice feature and a reason to dust it off. Overall very satisfied and highly recommend to anyone looking for a new adventure!

One of the best game in the Assassin's Creed series. Fun to play.

WOW just WOW...this game brings out some of the potential of the PS4s next gen. gaming technologies. I only played a few hours of it last night (01.14.14) and can't wait to play some more. I'm the type to play the game slow and do the side stuff as to enjoy the game rather than flying through it just to say I conquered it and the fun lasts. I definitely recommend this for any one that is capable of remembering the detailed and important buttons (just like any game really). Fight scenes are always fun and THE SHIP...cool addition along with piracy. Just get it!

I enjoyed this game as it is an improvement over assassin's creed 3. Fun ship battles and the theme of pirates made this game feel enjoyable.

This game is a great improvement over the last creed game. Massive gameplay in comparison to previous games in the series and this game looks amazing on the PS4. I really thought the series might have been dead creatively after the past couple games but I've never been so excited about the future of this series.

I really love this game but I am not sure that the Assassins Creed gaming so far really translated well into a pirates life. I thought it would be an amazing combo but some areas just were not developed enough. Sailing the ship is fun and pretty easy once you get the hang of it but it can also become very repetitive. Fighting and sinking ships while listening to the same sea shanties over and over can get really old, really quick. Overall, I really enjoy it but if you have motion sickness issues I would not recommend it.

It's similar to the other games in the series so far but for those unfamiliar it throws you right in to the story and might take you a few minutes to figure out what to do and how to get there

Assassin's Creed has been a franchise I have never been thrilled with until Black Flag. The franchise normally should come with an exterminator as it is ALWAYS so full of bugs! Black Flag worked seamlessly! The story is not overwhelming, but the gameplay is fantastic! The ship combat and plundering is humongously fun and the fleet command is a great addition! Fighting the "legendary" ships was a great challenge and very fulfilling to complete! Overall, this is a bit off the AC beaten path. The experience was VERY welcome and VERY well done!

My first assassin creed game. Set in the Caribbean on multiple islands and underwater locations can be explored as well. Play as pirate and assassin. Easily pick up for beginner. Great graphics on ps4. Not a big fan of stealth game but I did enjoy this one.

I do not like Assassin's Creed, although I have every game in the series. I have watched my girlfriend play this version and I must say, it is pretty awesome. We rented it through gamefly for PS3, right before I picked up my PS4 and she plays it whenever I'm doing something else. I have watched her play a few times and I cannot believe the incredible scenery in this game. The beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean and the ships you get to sail have blown me away! I am going to buy this game for her pretty soon. It's a must have for AC lovers.

This looks like it could be the best assassins creed game since AC2, when I say AC2 I include brotherhood being that the last mission of AC2 was the first of brotherhood. AC3 was fun but comparing it to AC2 well it sucked. Connor didn't seem cool like ezio but Edward does. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because I for one don't want dual wield swords other than that it SEEMS flawless.

My review is based on single player campaign only (I am not into multiplayer). The game is awesome overall, graphics are amazing, gameplay is flawless, overall awesome, awesome game. I have never played any assassins creed game before to compare, but I am extremely satisfied with this one. Get it, you won't regret it.

This is my first Assassin's Creed game. Hopefully the next editions are just as good.

Very fun game, and that's coming from someone who hasn't been invested in the last few Assassin's Creed games. I felt like they were a tad repetitive but this one breaks the mold mostly due to the story and the Pirate aspect.
