Gets the job done

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It gets the job done, if you don’t have a 4K tv since you have to connect your console directly to the adapter In order to get the audio on your astros if you are not planning on upgrading your tv I would say go for it but if you are like me and planning to I’ll say just wait till the new generation of astros comes out. But if you must buy it make sure you have an extra hdmi cable because the one that comes with it it’s too short.

Not worth the money and has issues

When I boot up my PS5 I hear sound and the only way to get picture is to unplug the hdmi and plug it back in. It also makes my tv think I have an audio device connected and not a PS5 so when I am watching TV it switches my audio from my tv speakers to the device. I will just be buying new headsets and junking this thing. It causes to many issues

Must for Astro A40 TR Mixamp Pro with PS5

PNP using one of the PS5 USB ports. I got it to work using an old Apple iphone power plug for a dedicated power supply as well. I didn’t like having to purchase this stupid adapter, but it’s much cheaper than buying a new headset rig if you already have the A40 TR Mixamp Pro setup.

Interference

Works great for gaming but for some reason when I turn on my ps5 it shows a blank screen sometimes, and in order for me to get it to work I have to constantly disconnected and reconnect the wires that are connected to this adapter. It also interferes with the volume on tv sometimes.

Smart move by Astro, but having difficulties

Running “chat only” only lets me hear the chat audio, zero game audio. I gotta run it under all audio. Sucks ps5 had to remove the optic cable all so you can buy their headphone smh. I’ll probably be returning them if I can’t figure it out.
