Thankfully Astro made this adapter and it’s been working well.

We hadto buy this twice as the first one's HDMI input port fried immediateley after first use!

No optical on Xbox Series X

Adapter didn't come with headset

However, it wasn't with the headset I bought, an Astro A40 with mixamp pro, and there was no mention of the fact that I needed the adapter for the headset to fully function for my console.
